NZRacing
quote from NZ TAB CEO a few weeks ago in an e-mail. Quote August 1 marks the dawning of a new season for all three racing codes in New Zealand and it also signals the start of TAB NZ's new financial year. We're incredibly proud of what the business has delivered to racing, sport and communities in New Zealand in the past 12 months. We are on track to distribute more than $200 million for the first time in our history. This would not have been possible without your support of TAB NZ. And it's important to note that several million dollars of this also goes to gambling harm minimisation. Number one lesson don't take much notice of figures given to you. More than $200 million in distribution? Only if your living in cuckoo land. Edited September 9, 2022 by NZRacing
Joe Bloggs
In one country on the other side of the world if you released bullshit like this they'd take you out the back and you'd face a firing squad, hows that saying go? ''You can fool some of the people some of the time.........?

Their July end of month report says full year distributions 175 million. Do you think he hasn't read that?

I wonder where the 25 million increase will come from then given last season's profit was only 154 million? Freda
Makes little sense to me. Figures aren't my strong point though, so no doubt someone will enlighten me.
Chief Stipe
Wouldn't an additional $25m equate to an increase of $600m in turnover? Who are they going to take that from?

Who are they going to take that from? Yep your figures accurate, it really is *pie in the sky stuff*, similar to Goldsmiths fcuk up pre last elections for which he paid the price. I really wonder about the management of the TAB, and our industry, they simply do not get much right. Deservedly a sunset industry on its knees. No bailout next time
NZRacing
Quote Doesn't the $200 million pertain to this season ? Think it pertains to the 2021-22 season as the e-mail was sent 18th July so season was obviously not over. Quote Hi Michael, keeping you up with the play View Online | Unsubscribe | My TAB Kia ora Michael, One of the most consistent messages I have had from TAB NZ customers since joining in March is a desire to learn more about what is going on in the business. Alongside this, many of you regularly tell me you'd love to have a forum to chip in ideas on how we can offer better products and services. In that light, this is the first of what will become a regular series of updates lifting the lid on what's happening at TAB NZ as we build a world-class wagering experience that enables us to contribute even more to sport, racing and communities. We'll launch a new growth strategy next month and at its core will be a relentless focus on customer experience. You will see the business start to deliver more personalised, relevant and engaging products and services. Expect to see more fun and engagement come through too. Our recent light-hearted Consider The Odds campaign featuring the Ireland rugby team's tour of New Zealand brought this new direction to life. Thanks to the 1250 customers who have taken the time in the past two months to share their perspectives on TAB NZ with us. Your feedback — and the spirit with which it has been delivered — is deeply appreciated. One change we've already made in response to feedback from customers is with our "cashout offer" that is available on some bets. Some customers told us they didn't like that the offer they received immediately after they had placed the bet was 95% of their original bet — for example, if they placed a $100 bet, the "cashout offer" would display as $95 as soon as they had placed the bet. We've now changed that setting to 100%, meaning there is no longer a "fee" to cash your money out when the odds have not changed or have only changed by a very small amount. Looking ahead As we evolve to being a digital first business, we need to do a better job of the experience we deliver via our TAB Mobile App. In that light, we've reset the partnership with OpenBet in New York, the provider of our technology platform. We are hitting the accelerator on fast tracking the delivery of products, such as Same Race Multis and Odds Boost. We are also reviewing what the future of the retail experience looks like in our own venues and within our pubs and clubs partnership network. Covid has accelerated the move to more customers using the App and the resulting drop in foot traffic is likely to see further consolidation of the retail experience around New Zealand. We have already closed four of our retail stores in the past two years with the potential of further closures in the next 12 months. That will still leave a retail network of more than 500 sites (retail, pubs and clubs) where punters can get the physical TAB NZ experience. August 1 marks the dawning of a new season for all three racing codes in New Zealand and it also signals the start of TAB NZ's new financial year. We're incredibly proud of what the business has delivered to racing, sport and communities in New Zealand in the past 12 months.
