Thomass
Let's hope he's seen what NZ Thoroughbred purveyors have to put up with as opposed to them... Race over...off to dogs taking a dump...no interviews weekdays ...weekends...off to the nearest Arse race for the pathos... ...plenty of post race and pre race reports...on Arstralian races SFA NZ interviews...capturing LOCAL Content...ffs Are we second rated racing citizens in our own country?? Thomass
I really don't think it would have been part of his brief... ..but if he mentions it he'll probably be 'user pays' being a Businessman.... ...but then he may realise that Racing here is not part of the psyche..and it needs pushing into the hearts and minds...instead of kids on devices wtf knows? Newmarket
Not sure by getting freeview back will have any effect on nz racing. Cant see too many punters not having sky, or the ability to watch free on some of the many devices available. Its harsh, but they dont see value in us oldies anymore, so we will keep seeing tabs and pub tabs closing down. If the tab wants my money, they need to look at what is offered to me by overseas operators, and compete, something they have never had to do in the past.
hesi
No competition, protected by The Racing Act 2003 A lot of this is probably going to go Even in the heady world of racing chat sites, we have seen what competition can do Look at the poor service you get from monopolies, like Vector and Chorus. You can't even contact those 2, must be through your service provider, and then, you never get to find out what the problem was Apologies for the diversion, we have a lot of power cuts
The Crucible
He won't be looking at the stuff that the little bloke complains about, like free TV or form in newspapers. I'm guessing he'll be looking at big ticket items like: - leadership of the NZRB (Board and management) - imagine there will be wholesale changes. - that Racefields legislation - sort it out one way or the other. - the new sports betting platform - don't throw any more good money after bad - bin it and outsource this stuff.

Completely agree, it still baffles me that the tab want to charge people to deposit via credit card and that it’s such a manual process to make a withdrawal.
Tonkatime!
I also laughed when I saw that the tab are offering a $30 deposit bonus for new accounts when you deposit $10 or more. The minimum credit card top up is $20. 1
