Chief Stipe
Great recovery by the track. Really nice stakes on offer and close racing. Not such a......
Joe Bloggs
There's not much to cheer about except the weather, Macdonalds ride in the 2nd was woeful, I wonder if Teflon will give him a serve?......the public areas are a ghost town, I'll collect Mrs Bloggs shortly and head off for a surf at Main Beach, the real racing will be on Sat at Doomben, these bullshit Vella/Harvey wankfests are boring, bring on the Autumn/winter and black type racing. So you can't get your yearlings into Karaka either?
Chief Stipe
Actually @Joe Bloggs and @nomates would be hard to please. Best Jockeys, best trainers and some of the best horses racing on a great surface for fantastic stakes. What more could you ask for? I guess Joe your wife is on to it. Special Agent
I think every day I wake up is a brilliant one. It's easy to moan about poor quality horses, trainers, jockeys, racing etc but, sometimes when you are battling to get one good enough to progress from trials to race day it's a top day to win at any meeting. No matter what race meeting you are at there is still a field to get past and to win anywhere is success. It doesn't matter if you paid top price at the sales or have someone else's cast off, the process is the same requiring some degree of skill. We should all be a bit less critical and a bit more grateful, I think anyway.

Yep, she's been on to it for a while, loves going to the sports, even wears a hat for Gods sake, however the shit hits the fan here tomorrow, that's when you have to float your horse an hour away for a grass gallop, the wankers are all heading home half pissed, or worse, some cashed up like crazy but all with dreams of coming back next year to win the big bucks at Gerry's ''Spin That Wheel''.......gotta love the coast, Bets, Babes and Booze, ......#livingthedream

I'd never sell at Karaka, funny enough there are quite a few big breeders that don't either, MEL Premier is the recipient of that, and SYD Easter of course for the real blue bloods, I think Karaka will be strong this year, the problem is........how many of those lovely horses will stay in NZ?......the foal crop is abysmal size wise, who would want to breed for whats left of domestic racing?..........shame shame shame........NZ is the new Italy, whoda thunk it.
Freda
Plenty of critical thinkers predicted exactly that. I'm pretty sure they are not super happy about being right, though.
