Captain Tom . Going on to Big things

With the win in the Southern Supremacy Heat today Captain Tom looking like one of the biggest potential stars around. 3 wins from 4 now. and a 1.54 mile credit as well.

He must be worth BIG Money 💰💰💰 now?

Driven by Brad today instead of Nathan , who would of been available, so that was interesting ... Seems more a keen on Nathan in these threads as a pilot. and he had won the 2 races on the horse as well. 

Olivia Thornley running 2nd on the Allstars runner With Style, and definitely looked in difficulty controlling the horse once again. smacking into the back of another runner on several occasions. After the Oaks win where the horse fairly bolted on her , might have to hit the weights ? to get a bit of strength maybe?

And @Chief we need Blossom Lady (or someone in the know) to tell us what the hell the hole in the Murphy blind is for ?? 

both 'Captain Tom' and 'With Style' with the MURPHY Blind on today . They ripped home in 55 seconds odd and well clear up the straight.  'With Style' had a hole in hers ? wonder why? but they sure seem to be working after Lizzie the other day? and Allstars using them so Must Be Good ?

Looks a nice horse for sure,but really that race today was just a sprint from the 800m. With style looked like they had decided it couldn't win before the race started,and was driven accordingly . With style is a nice horse,but has only had 2 wins in 13 starts so far.

Brad williamson has always been the stables no 1 driver,so i guess he must have had one of his own in the race for nathan to drive previously.

Isn't the hole in the murphy blind there so the horse can see the other horses and therefore concentrates better?

That would of been my guess too . I think it is asking too much for them to be alarmed seeing the whip swishing about through a tiny hole , to make them go that little bit harder when you want them too.

Might just make the horse more reluctant in lugging in or out ?,  if it can see a little something (like another horse) through a hole .Might not head towards it as much?

not sure about the hanging though. Perhaps use a Pole if horse actually turning their neck too much ?

Murphy blind are excellent at keeping a horses head straight if fitted right, see so many fitted wrong.If you block the forward vision of one eye, horse has to turn its head to see in front of them. Hole is so that they can see what’s beside them, and stops getting them keen. Just another tool in the arsenal and have there place, probably used a little less here because we race a lot closer than the USA.
