I can't see the justification for criticism of the RIB in these cases.. This thread again highlights the them and us mindset that some have.

Then you are sadly out of touch with those trying to train and race horses.

The RIB has an ex-cop culture which isn't much above the old traffic cop level.  They are still spending large on INCA and now spend time in the broadcast bunker watching HD video over and overlooking for the slightest misdemeanour to fine.

The new recruits don't have any extensive racing experience and what they do have probably amounts to "I like horses and I patted a pony once".

I think it is you that is out of touch.

You mention inca.

I think its reasonable to draw a  comparison with the thinking between this topic and the INCA investigation.I will explain why.

I believe a significant part of why INCA happened was down to the stipes at the time not doing  proper oversight of those who it was easily perceived failed to drive their horses on their merits. .Examples involving high profile people, like the matt anderson drive on johnny white and the dexter dunn drive at forbury had no consequences when they should have.

So at the time, before INCA,on forums like this some, including myself, were asking why no action and suggested there would be consequences of inaction.

So why was the actions of the riu so weak at the time.Well it was because they factored in how they would be perceived by those who ran HRNZ and how industry participants would view policing of things that stipes from previous decades took no action over and they considered the  flak they would take on internet sites like this one where issues are judged by many, not on the merits, but based on the personalities involved.

So when it comes to this current topic involving the RIU/RIB. We have the very same people who  perpetuated the myth that overlooking something is better than dealing with it,doing it again. I wonder if they will ever realise the consequences of basing thinking on personalities and not the merits of an argument.

But your premise is built purely on fantasy.  That's where it fails.  Your opinion of two races is only an opinion.  Nothing more.

Now we have a behemoth of an organisation chasing ghosts where there aren't any.  INCA FOUND NOTHING!!!

No evidence of mass fraud involving race fixing.  It isn't as if fixing a single race in NZ would be all that easy or financially rewarding anyway.

$14 million plus of industry and tax payer money spent, the utilisation of modern surveillance technology and technology and they found NOTHING.

Now the same failures are spending vast sums of money looking for something that isn't there or handing out the equivalent of parting tickets or speeding fines.

Meanwhile those with an agenda to close racing down are being fed with BS.  So someone gave a horse a punch in the stomach?  The cries of animal abuse rings from all the forums and the woke media is fed more tripe to feast on.

The stipes are getting worse and worse. Do they actually know who is doing what and where each horse is positioned or are they just taking the piss.

Lets Get Tropical was nowhere near Victor Bravo racing into the first bend. Unbelievable how they could get that wrong. The number of inconsistencies I see in these reports is mindboggling.

You are correct!

It was the stablemate Philadelphia Filly!

The Stipes are pretty incompetent currently, but it also doesnt help that many if the rules that they are operating under are Crazy!!.

The Stipes are now sitting in what is essentially the pie room watching videos and telling drivers how they should drive.  Those doing the watching and laying the charges have next to zero understanding of driving a horse.  The absolute minimum requirement for a Stipe should be to have completed the full amateur driving course and qualified to race as an amateur.

Perhaps then some of these ridiculous charges would cease.

There should also be no extra punishment for defending a charge and being found guilty either.
