    • oh no. 😔 that is quite flattening. I really liked that guy , and he always was totally nice to myself and we enjoyed many interesting conversation at BOAY. Including chatting about LEADERBOARD winning the Grand National and much more stuff like that.  He always helped increase my knowledge on topics and was a pleasure on BOAY to correspond with here. I'll miss him here, but am delighted to see he had a helping hand in so many projects and sports ,  That it filled his lifetime with great enjoyment and many fantastic moments. North and South Island . He had to fight to fight against Auckland bashers here , but stuck to the task to defend the people he mixed with around him in Aucland with Gusto , and intelligence. Loved his ATC trots and Karaka Millions . on ya Gary.  R.I.P Gary Williams . a fine kiwi TABman.

    • Jockey Dylan Davis suffered a broken right collarbone in a spill that affected four horses Friday afternoon at Aqueduct, his agent Mike Migliore told the TDN's Bill Finley. Heavyweight Champs (Solomini), the third betting choice in a $17,500 claimer with a non-winners-of-three-lifetime condition, was a handy third and three wide tracking the pace into the turn, but broke down and fell three-eighths of a mile from the wire. He unseated his rider Ricardo Santana, Jr. in the process, and the Davis-ridden Tarpaulin (Leofric) could not avoid his stricken rival and fell, but picked himself up, completed the course and was caught by outriders before being walked off. Both Christopher Elliott aboard Because the Night (Uncle Mo) and Lane Luzzi astride Funny Uncle (Distorted Humor) were forced to take evasive action and both horses were eased, but were otherwise uninjured. According to a statement from NYRA's Patrick McKenna, Heavyweight Champs was attended to immediately by veterinary staff, but due to the severity of the injury to his left front leg, could not be saved. Santana, Jr. visited on-track first aid under his own power, but was removed from his remaining mount. Davis was transported to Jamaica Hospital for evaluation. There is no timetable for his return, Migliore said. • Well…. here is some feedback from 6 punting teams at our table. 1, Using someones TAB account was a shambles, had 2 self serve machines that continued to turn off as did TVs. As couldnt use TAB account to place other bets, most stopped betting elsewhere and one mate left to bet elsewhere at Addington, had all his money but stopped betting in comp.    2, Totally disorganised, we were all told different things, got email night before stating tickets would be sent, never received and when asked on the morn, told sorry you dont need tickets🫣 Was told you could use Bonus bet from r2 with 2nd & 3rd promo… then told no you cant…no all ups… then Andy McCook stated you can…had to take phone up to verify… was told somebody would visit table…rules where changed as it started. We all agreed it was the worst run comp ever, and most likely next year have day at Pub. I didnt stay for presentation, i gave up and invested my money on Riccarton today, just lost interest. Having Andy blarring on a speaker all day trying to be funny, at the same time on course announcements going on, it was a joke.    Positives…. Dave helped as much as he could, but some of the ladies running it looked like they have never bet in their life…. Oh, and the food was good.
