Despite the fact that it's free in tercourse, even that hasn't helped crowds many who do go probably gave up that pastime long ago🥸 -
I note Mr House has pointed out horses placed 5th don't lose a rating point,(may have been only 4) but the ratings system allows for manipulation which means sometimes they ain't trying, I still believe 6 starts after a win before you get any ratings relief, genuine struggles get help, maybe under that system they might all be trying, also the maidens don't have a rating until they win, but then should a maiden that beats 5 at Manawatu get same penalty as winning against 14 at Methven, lots of anomalies, why they continue to have rating 120 the max is beyond me.

Bit of a debacle if you ask me. If I was an owner or jockey I'd be ropable. Its a hard left coming onto course proper and two gaps in the rail. WTAF. The club should refund all disqualified horses. -

Executing a well-timed turn of foot like a seasoned professional, Laurelin (Zarak {Fr}) ran to her odds and in the process swept up the Penn Oaks at dusk.
