    • Sunday, Dortmund, Germany, post time: 16:20, WETTSTAR.DE – 141ST DEUTSCHES ST LEGER-G3, €55,000, 3yo/up, 14fT Field: Caballo De Mar (Ire) (Phoenix Of Spain {Ire}), Kampfer (Ger) (Protectionist {Ger}), Lordano (Ger) (Adlerflug {Ger}), Padre Palou (Ger) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), Tex Lot (Ger) (Camelot {GB}), Waldnebel (Ger) (Reliable Man {GB}), Asmira (Ger) (Isfahan {Ger}). TDN Analysis: Gestut Ittlingen's homebred Lordano, the winner here in 2023, will head postward as a warm order for this stamina test coming back off a narrow victory in June's G2 Grosser Preis der Badischen Wirtschaft at Baden-Baden. His main domestic rivals are July's G3 Furstenberg-Rennen victor Padre Palou and G1 Deutsches Derby eighth Waldnebel, with the latter stepping up to this trip for the first time. George Scott trainee Caballo De Mar, runner-up in Royal Ascot's Copper Horse Handicap, is the lone overseas challenger. Three-year-old filly Asmira receives a full house of weight concessions and will need them in this first outing beyond 12 furlongs. [Sean Cronin]. Sunday, Bro Park, Sweden, post time: 17:10, STOCKHOLM CUP INTERNATIONAL-G3, SKr1,000,000, 3yo/up, 12fT Field: Moon String (Ire) (El Kabeir), Espen Hill (Swe) (Helsinki), Claymore (Fr) (New Bay {GB}), Captain Chorus (GB) (Paco Boy {Ire}), Nastaria (GB) (Outstrip {GB}), Lion's Head (Ger) (Protectionist {Ger}), Admiral De Vega (GB) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), Ami De Vega (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), Hard One to Please (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}), Cotton Eye Joe (Den) (Appel Au Maitre {Fr}), Grandpa's Prince (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), Quebello (Ger) (Sea the Moon {Ger}). TDN Analysis: Lope De Vega's Group 3 winners Admiral De Vega and Ami De Vega, the latter finishing fifth here last year, are among the leading contenders for the highlight of a stakes-laden programme in Sweden. Admiral De Vega ran third in Ovrevoll's G3 Marit Sveaas Minnelop last month and Ami De Vega was last seen finishing second to G3 Deutsches St Leger nominee Padre Palou in Hoppegarten's G3 Furstenberg-Rennen. Previous winners Espen Hill and Hard One To Please are back for more in a line-up of the usual suspects, while Jane Chapple-Hyam ships in recent Kincsem Dij winner Claymore for his Scandinavian debut. [Sean Cronin]. Sunday, Hannover, Germany, post time: 14:50, GROSSER PREIS DER PRIVATBANK ODDO BHF – JUNIOREN-PREIS-Listed, €25,000, 2yo, 8fT Field: Abdulhamid (Ire) (Camelot {GB}), Asalet (Ger) (Best Solution {Ire}), Dalyan (Fr) (Romanised {Ire}), Loucas (Ger) (Best Solution {Ire}), Lady Liva (GB) (Lope Y Fernandez {Ire}), Soreanga (Ger) (Siyouni {Fr}). TDN Analysis: With all six contenders making their black-type debut and half the field being maidens, undefeated Krefeld winner Loucas sets the standard in a typically open renewal of this juvenile contest. Henk Grewe entry Dalyan and Polish challenger Lady Liva are the others with winning form in the book. Of the maidens, Gestut Fahrhof's once-raced homebred Soreanga appears best placed to make the breakthrough. [Sean Cronin]. Monday, Fairyhouse, post time: 17:45, BALLYHANE BLENHEIM STAKES-Listed, €27,000, 2yo, 6fT Field: Charles Fort (GB) (St Mark's Basilica {Fr}), Chicago Call (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}), Fresh Fade (Ire) (Cotai Glory {GB}), Howd'yadoit (Ire) (Nando Parrado {GB}), Morehampton (Ire) (Sea The Moon {Ger}), Nuevo Slovo (Ire) (James Garfield {Ire}), Sir Alfie (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), Slaudeen (GB) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}), Tertre Rouge (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), Alibah (Ire) (Galileo Gold {GB}), Dawn Romance (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), Treasured Royal (Ire) (Nando Parrado {GB}), Yaupon De Replay (Yaupon). TDN Analysis: Ballydoyle's Charles Fort was off the mark at the fourth attempt in style switched back to this trip at Cork and could be ready to take off now. The Ballyhane winner Howd'yadoit could still be improving, while it is possibly significant that Joseph O'Brien is dropping the Gowran Park maiden winner Alibah back from seven. [Tom Frary]. • William Buick had missed out on a future Classic prospect at Newmarket on Saturday, but his Newbury visit ultimately paid off as Words Of Truth (Lope De Vega) captured Saturday's feature G2 Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes. Coming off wins at Ascot and Newmarket, Godolphin's son of the dual Group winner Beyond Reason (Australia) looked well-beaten heading to the final furlong as the impressive debut winner Into The Sky (Starman) cut loose but stayed on best to collar that rival close home and prevail by a length. “He's gone from strength to strength and that was a tough performance from him on that ground,” Buick said. “It was an up-to-scratch renewal and he was very professional. He ticks a lot of boxes and should get seven.” Into The Sky's trainer Jim Boyle said, “We are utterly delighted with him–he's a big, raw weak horse still and he was a bit green and lonely in front and lugged left a bit. I think the winner will prove to be a decent horse and they've pulled a long way clear.” The post Lope De Vega’s Words Of Truth Takes The Mill Reef appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions. • Becoming the latest Pattern-race winner in the silks of Richard and Roisin Henry on Saturday, Catching The Moon (No Nay Never) came out on top in Ayr's G3 Firth of Clyde Stakes. Like the owners' 2022 Oh So Sharp winner Midnight Mile trained by Richard Fahey, the 15-2 shot who had opened her account at Beverley travelled smoothly for Oisin Orr throughout the six-furlong feature and outstayed Lam Yai (Lucky Vega) to prevail by a neck. “I travelled well and she probably didn't really enjoy the ground, but she got through it today. She's picked up and done it nicely,” Orr said of the granddaughter of the 2015 Pretty Polly heroine Diamondsandrubies (Fastnet Rock) who was in turn out of the owners' Moyglare Stud Stakes winner and multiple Group 1-placed Quarter Moon (Sadler's Wells). “On better ground you will see her run better. She's a lovely filly and she's very straightforward. She's one of the nicer fillies and it's great to be on her,” he added. • Aga Khan Studs representative Samangan shed maiden status with an impressive wide-margin triumph at Deauville towards the end of last month and continued on the upgrade with a black-type breakthrough in Saturday's G3 Prix Eclipse Fonds Europeen de l'Elevage at Chantilly. “He broke slowly and therefore put himself in trouble from the start,” reflected trainer Francis Graffard. “He was never really travelling smoothly and didn't look like a winner at halfway. Maybe the [soft] ground is the reason, but I don't know. When he started finding his best stride, the way he quickened was quite interesting and in the end it was a good performance. I will now put him away until next year, start over six again and see. At this stage I would not to be too keen to run him over further than six furlongs.” The 13-10 favourite was the slowest of eight into stride and raced in rear from the outset of this straight six-furlong contest. Easing forward into sixth at halfway, he was scrubbed along with a quarter-mile remaining and kept on relentlessly under whipless rousting inside the final furlong to deny Ceramic (Lope De Vega) by an ultimately comfortable half-length nearing the line.     Pedigree Notes Samangan, who becomes the eighth pattern-race winner for his sire, is the seventh of eight foals and one of three scorers out of a winning half to multiple Group 1-winning European champion Sarafina (Refuse To Bend), dual stakes-winning G1 Prix Saint-Alary runner-up Sanaya (Barathea), G3 Firebreak Stakes victor Sandagiyr (Dr Fong) and the multiple Group 3-placed Sanjida (Polish Precedent). Sarafina, in turn, is the dam of G3 Prix Messidor-winning sire Geniale (Deep Impact), G3 Prix d'Aumale victrix Savarin (Deep Impact) and G3 Radio Nikkei Sho third Go Timing (Deep Impact). The May-foaled bay is a half-brother to Prix Volterra victrix Simeen (Lope De Vega) and a weanling filly by Vadeni.   Saturday, Chantilly, France PRIX ECLIPSE – FONDS EUROPEEN DE L'ELEVAGE-G3, €73,200, Chantilly, 9-20, 2yo, 6fT, 1:09.72, sf. 1–SAMANGAN (IRE), 126, c, 2, by Blue Point (Ire)                 1st Dam: Samadrisa (Ire), by Oasis Dream (GB)                 2nd Dam: Sanariya (Ire), by Darshaan (GB)                 3rd Dam: Sanamia (Ire), by Top Ville (Ire) 1ST BLACK-TYPE WIN; 1ST GROUP WIN.
