Oh for goodness sake. Those people are not in the limelight because they don't want to be. I don't know why you think everyone wants accolades and back slapping. Some do the job because they love the horse, the real hero of the industry. They help others without an announcement and volunteer their time assisting and teaching.
Most of the people I know go about their business without the hooplah, live a simple life, work hard and have a laugh, even at themselves.
sigh, he simple deserves serious respect for the effort needed to just be able to turn up on any race day! nothing to do with TA. At least he gets well rewarded for his talent and effort! many risk life and limb for a lot less, then for that the effort they put in! they then get to suffer later in life for the tragic eating styles that the need to be a jockey does to them!
