  1. Are you serious @Gammalite - not forgetting the irony of your avatar being named after Gammalite! Horses in old style cowboy moview are generally older horses over 5 years of age. The rider has lot longer stirrups and wears spurs - hence the ability to give a good belt into the belly with the heal. They ride westen style with one hand and often longer tails on the reins which are used in a whipping fashion. Not to mention the rolled up lassoo which can pack a rear handed punch. In the movies anyway.
  2. I've worked it out! You record the coverage so you can watch when you are sober! Hence your news is old news!
  3. I don't think they are as obssessed as you are nor go off piss-te! That said British racing is really going well...not! At the very least they have a better command of the English language!
  4. You are quite welcome to post your wacky obsessions on other social media however I see you have given up using X. Lack of customer interaction perchance?
  5. Hand your stake back as a matter of principle.
  6. But if Titicaca had been beaten a nose as an owner would you have been impressed?
  7. Why differentiate now between minor and major when the basis of you main argument is to ban the whip altogether. Hypocriscy abounds!! I counted 6 violations of the whip rules (which @Thomass would describe as blatant cheating) since 1 September 2021!!!!
  8. @curious you disappoint me. There is a difference when a horse that has just gone nearly 4,000m over numerous jumps on a heavy track and barely makes it over the last jump is whipped to maintain its stakes or dividend bearing place when it is stuffed compared to one in a winning position with 200m to run and has started to loaf around like a goon. The fact you confound your argument so often convinces me you are struggling to gain support for it WITHIN racing.
  9. How hard would it be for NZTR to provide more information to stakeholders like Trainers, Owners and Punters similar to what Hong Kong does? The graphics when watching the racing HK racing is fantastic. Surely they could have GPS enabled saddle cloths in NZ.
  10. From what date? Regardless rules are rules aren't they?
  11. To give @Thomass 's milk enough time to get hot enough to add to his Horlicks given it was his bed time.
  12. Two horse ran faster over 1200m at Trentham on 18 January 2025 than Ka Ying Rising did when winning by 6 lengths in a track record time at Sha Tin today! Mmmmm?
  13. Why does it matter? The principle is the same regardless. What rule date are you working by?
  14. Of course @curious on principle you'll never have Chris Johnson ride one of your horses again given his whip rule violations!
  15. Then don't watch or participate @curious go take up Chess and play online with @Thomass !!
  16. Bullshit on two counts. One you didn't notice it instantly and you aren't a horseman.
  17. Good Jockey this Kevin Stott. Hands and heels in the last at Pukekohe just now and lifted the winner over the line!
  18. I'm probably like 99.9% of those who watched and didn't notice it until @Thomass posted. Then again he probably didn't notice either until he saw it in the Stipes report!
  19. Not ALL races though? I see BETCHA which is normally only Fixed Odds only has Tote Odds for Hong Kong.
  20. I wonder who DID get on at those odds. How? Surely once the initial odds are set they are then done programmatically.
  21. Yeah. I've been thinking the same thing for a while now. The whole shute is a mess.
  22. I see Jayne Ivil elevated the Wellington Cup Carnival to being the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
  23. I see the fields are up on TABNZ but no Tote yet.
  24. Geez another canter and sprint.
  25. LISA ALLPRESS HAS SUSPECTED BROKEN LEG Our thoughts are with Lisa Allpress who has suffered a suspected broken leg when injured in the stalls in race 4 at Trentham today. This is so unlucky and so unfortunate given she hasn't long returned to race day riding after suffering a severe back injury last year. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Lisa. The Trentham meeting has been put back one race.
