However it is questionable that there is no institutional bias and female participants are treated equally and promoted on merit. But what has that got to do with the award? Do you notice how the Stewards can't seem to cope with tightening of the runners towards the outside fence. I swear they treat it differently to tightening onto the inside fence. It's like the track conditions have caused it so we will cut some slack to the riders. I don't blame Allpress for not going out there. Also I have no problem with her ride on Moments Like These in the last. First up from a spell and saved ground the whole trip, moved off the rail at the right time and nearly stole it until the horses condition gave out.

As far as I could see it was on ALL races at ALL meetings. It used to be a problem on the old TABNZ app where you'd see the allowances once then you'd go to another page and they'd disappear. I imagine it would put people off betting on soft/heavy track racing. I would imagine many newbies wouldn't have a clue so wouldn't back the top weight with 60.5kg when it was only carrying 57.5kg.
