  1. Suggest you do some more research.
  2. You are only reporting the details of a transaction. Any further information sought requires a number of legal hurdles to be jumped.
  3. As opposed to the Wild West?
  4. No it isn't against Human Rights Law. It is the responsibility of all those involved in the financial industry to monitor dodgy transactions and report them. One single transaction won't necessarily trigger an investigation but a pattern will. If a professional accountant has neglected their responsibilities then they will also come under suspicion.
  5. Not entirely correct. There was international law/agency pressure to get our anti money laundering rules in line with international practice. NZ was being used by overseas crims to process money. The issue isn't the law that was passed but the way some NZ agencies have chosen to implement it. TAB NZ bent over backwards to be compliant and have imposed far more restrictions than necessary. I've been involved in implementing computer systems to comply with the CCCFA and the TAB is way over the top.
  6. A grand doesn't go far this time of year. Perhaps the TAB want to be late payers and get more interest on their own deposits.
  7. Interestingly Clark is a derivative of Clerk from the Latin word clericus. Ironically the name Clark was given to someone who could read and write during a time when many couldn't.
  8. I'd be happy that they get a track right or the programming right more often regardless of whether they can spell Reaftin or Cantabeery properly.
  9. Well there's part of the problem of why they are not making money. The assets capable of earning revenue are not able to be used. Bit like owing a Taxi on a cab rank and not putting fuel in it.
  10. True. I know a number of good stories about Eric's training methods. Like the time a horse wouldn't get off the truck so he tied the lead of the horse to a post and drove the truck away.
  11. When did Rangiora last have a race meeting? No excuses for Riccarton not to make money as a training facility. If they don't then they don't have enough horses or are not charging enough. Of course the additional AWT operational costs won't be helping.
  12. Meanwhile there are 9 race meetings in OZ to bet on. Mmmmmm 🤔
  13. Which product would that be?
  14. That's not Eric is it?
  15. Sad that a Labour Party town has been let down by this Labour Government. If they had facilitated the keeping of the dredge that dredged the Buller River mouth there would be no flooding.
  16. If the majority of class horses are trained in Cambridge and Matamata then Ellerslie needs to rely on income from racing and hospitality to make ends meet. They don't and won't have any income from the regular training of horses.
  17. How bizarre! Every pub TAB I've visited today is closed! FFS it's only Christmas Eve!
  18. I don't think it is a male vs female issue in NZ. The issues are poor training of jockeys and horses, infrequent opportunities, poor race track surfaces, inconsistent policing of racing infringements, etc etc.
  19. Free Travel pass. Fashion shoes supplied. Free selection of leather toys and goods.
  20. Definitely no evidence of performance enhancers being used.
  21. How is it "worse than a battery"? Is it worse than oil based steroids that you were keen to once use?
  22. I always wonder where do you draw the line as a Thoroughbred Enthusiast. Afterall we train an animal to do something that it isn't designed to do even after 200 years of inbreeding.
  23. Have you tried anger management courses @Joe Bloggs?
  24. You've never used them? Which trainer is your horse with?
  25. Commercial decision. Plea bargin. $35k and the crap goes away.
