  1. That's one out I guess.
  2. Not necessarily. Depends on what type of shoe it was. A lot of racing plates are no more than a sliver of aluminium to stop hoof wear in the yard.
  3. We don't have horsemen involved in these things anymore unfortunately.
  4. LOL Geez O'Brien do you belong to the know nothing clan?
  5. Seems the only horse affected by the barging was the horse that barged and won. I've heard they had doubts about the track BEFORE race 1 and it was inspected. Subsequent to race 1 the track was inspected again. Who was involved in the decision? RIB, Jockeys, Trainers and Club officials?
  6. Can't have been that flat as it still won.
  7. Did it lose 3 plates?
  8. No what is more hilarious is that it bothers you.
  9. You are making an assumption that the horse slipped because it had lost a plate. Did they or did they not inspect the track? Surely the decision was based on that inspection. But I can see this becoming the racing conspiracy of 2023.
  10. So the horse that won had lost a plate before the start AND was the horse that slipped?
  11. I'm sure the Secretary is pressing a case for another day.
  12. LOL 😆 As I said this post mortem is going to be really interesting. So a bad ride and the Stewards to blame. Mmmm what did the other Jockeys say?
  13. Happens every race in OZ. Damn near impossible not to do it on a tight turning track.
  14. Are you not allowed to push out using centrifugal force in gallops?
  15. How do you know it was an illusion? You have no idea what other amounts were bet during the time the $20 bets were made. Did you compare odds for the same bet at the same time from a different account?
  16. Abandoned after horse slipped in Race 1. Mmm another track management review coming?
  17. This will be interesting.
  18. Some time ago a TAB NZ bookie accidentally sent the odds spreadsheet through in an email. It seemed that the odds were set by a committee of 4 and each one had to sign off on them. So if they all eat their pies at different times it could be 24 hours from start to finish.
  19. Absolutely. Who else can wind up O'Brien so easily!
  20. @Brodie you'll be pleased to know that the site that champions free speech has openly said they will never allow you to post there!
  21. Why does it take so long for TAB NZ to post fixed odds for the next days races? Yet they have posted FO for the big OZ meets tomorrow.
  22. Just the track, the tactically inept jockeys and the handicapper.
  23. One horse R90. Counting the horses not balloted the average rating is R72. I wonder how much more our Open races will decline.
  24. You've missed mentioning the plague of Cane Toads in Queensland.
  25. I didn't realise we now classify anything above R81 as Open.
