  1. Well you do tend to go off without doing your homework. As for his placement of horses being questionable can you give us all an example of your esteemed and cogent analysis? As I said above he did get a lot of tried horses that had issues and did comparatively well with them.
  2. I'm always wary when I see a "consultant" engaged that has little or no understanding of the industry they are consulting on. Enter Sapere Research Group Ltd to review South Island racing. I thought we had already had several reviews? What is it costing in fees for this research?
  3. An interesting line in the document for the West Coast - perhaps @Reefton can elucidate what it actually means.... No changes are proposed to the remaining three venues for racing on the West Coast, being the Reefton, Omoto and Kumara Racecourses.
  4. There is some glaring issues in this document....... Great news that they identify that Riccarton Turf needs reconstructing! But not for at least 5 more years!!!!
  5. In my opinion it isn't that our horses aren't good enough it is how we train them and the lack of competition here. For some of our best horses starting first time in OZ must be a bit of a shock. They find they are in races where the speed is on, the fields are even and the racing tight. Hell two thirds of any field in NZ Grp racing "need a run" i.e. they are not match fit which is hardly surprising when you look at the class of trials we have here.
  6. I don't often defend the little fella but his record as a trainer is better than most but not as good as some. He took on some crocks that others had discarded too and won with them. 41 wins from 370 starts and 7 Grp and Listed wins. Not too shabby a record by any stretch.
  7. Big ask to take him over there and straight into one of the top four Grp1's of the Melbourne Spring Carnival. Lots of things against him. The trip and the track. He'll win something of note over there if placed right. But the sad thing for NZ racing is that yet another durable gelding has been handicapped out of here.
  8. This race has NEVER attracted a top field for some reason. Wrong time of year for the distance?
  9. Nothing much else has so it would be a first. To be fair my understanding is they both got screwed over by the landlord.
  10. Actually you're right. It is the same spin piece everytime. I'm waiting for the hatchet job articles from all and sundry when things get serious. Interesting he is setting up a business in Pakuranga. Although he is short enough I didn't think he would be into noodles and rice.
  11. Surely you can't be inferring that you are informed and post impartial analysis? Note the evidence clearly shows otherwise.
  12. Absolutely I'm biased against dickheads who spew total garbage like your first post. I dont suffer fools. Guilty as charged.
  13. It is a moot. I assume you agree. Still waiting for a successful Ardern Government policy.
  14. Communism is bad. Which Arden policy do you want to debate? Mycoplasma bovis eradication? You seem to have a fixation with cattle.
  15. Nothing to debate. I don't like it. Which policy? Your sentence is bordering on illiterate.
  16. I'd be very happy to go head to head with you in a test of intelligence but from my perspective it is clearly obvious it would be a no contest and a waste of my time.
  17. ....because it is pointless to debate the definition of well defined concepts. It would be a waste of time. Now we could debate whether the concept of Communism was good or bad or that a policy of Ardens Government was a manifestation of Communisn or not. But the concept of debate seems to be unique to you and no one else that I have encountered. So arguably it would be an exercise in futility. When I ask for an example of a success from good policy of this Government you clutch at straws and state totally from left field the eradication of Mycoplasma bovis. Odd to say the least!
  18. Don't have to - you did. I can however I choose not to as they are self evident and well defined unlike your "Neo-liberalism" which is nothing but a slogan - it isn't even an ideology! Classic pot kettle!
  19. How can I when you have posted nothing of any substance? No original thought. No detailed analysis. Just slogans! I guess you are one of the "team of 5 million" that have "gone hard and early". I haven't regurgitated anything let alone an opinion. I have stated a fact that you just regurgitate slogans and cliches with very little apparent understanding. Now that is really sad.
  20. Diddums! None of what you write is actually original nor accurate! To infer otherwise if fraud! You haven't produced any factual information or more importantly a cogent argument with regard to cause and effect. Your credibility is zero based on the slogans you spew forth which indicates that you truly don't understand what you write. Hell the best economic success you could come up with for this Labour Government was the eradication of Mycoplasma bovis - which was not only false but of doubtful positive economic benefit.
  21. Well if that's the case it is even sadder. You may actually believe the rubbish your write.
  22. But you haven't posted any coherent "message". If anything you've cut and pasted someone else's unintelligible rant.
  23. No I doubt that someone of Berry's skill and experience misjudged the speed. I'd say he suffered from the "I'm riding the hot favourite and best horse in the field syndrome". The one that says you just need to turn up to win. Winx was good but Bowman very rarely didn't look after her and if he didnt that was more others doing than his riding of her.
  24. How can anyone debate someone such as you who posts generally no substance interspersed with inaccuracies and political slogans? You're obviously a fool who understands very little. As for asserting I have cognitive dissonance again you are projecting. My actions are certainly not at odds with my beliefs however it is clearly evident in your political diatribes that you are either conflicted in your beliefs or more likely don't have the cognitive ability to understand what you pontificate about.
  25. But he didn't need to go forward to sit outside Vangelic. His reason was the pace slackened and she pulled. The pace slackening was in his favour being on the pace. He had cover but decided to go and put pressure on the leader. That was the mistake.
