  15. That's precisely why I say we would be foolish to close any tracks when with a bit of cooperation we could manage the surfaces like a good farmer does on a rotation basis. Long term dam sight cheaper than paying for multiple Strathayr tracks. The reality is we are never going to see a massive resurgence in on course attendance let alone turnover. So why the hell waste money on building infrastructure. The biggest day out I had at a race meeting was in a tent (poncy marquee) Wellington cup day in the in field. Toilet was one of those portable cabin things and the seats were $5 wharehouse specials.
  16. Yep - no farmer doesn't renovate their paddocks for 20 years. They'd be out of business. Plus Curious there are probably no sand slits or complex drainage systems underneath that paddock.
