  1. The Members have spoken and it went the way that I thought it would, although closer than I thought it would be.
  2. Curious, for Jenny and my education which is firmer…Cambridge at 72 or Awapuni at 60? I once had a filly run at Cambridge when it was firm, (Clegg Hammer unheard of) and she ran a beaut 2nd. Three weeks later she went back there for the Maiden Finial and she very poorly BECAUSE the track was prepared very differently. They fluffed it up so much that it was the equivalent of a heavy track. At the time I didn’t even know that they could do that! Anyway believe it or not, she is down to have her first run again on a synthetic surface at Awapuni on Sunday and I am quite confident except now Awapuni is vastly different to Cambridge, (according to the Cleg Hammer) so what is what? Which one is firm, which one is fluffy, hence deep. What do the figures pertaining to the Cleg Hammer mean. Can Chief (or Curious) please delve into this and advise us poor mortal souls?
  3. Who would know because separate accounts are not done for the individual Clubs within RACE, so your view is as accurate or inaccurate as mine. Isn't that a wonderful situation, a person dredged up from the bottom of the Messina Strait [Me - Riace - look it up] and you, a former National Party candidate [although unsuccessful] neither knowing the truth regarding your question 😂 God night, it's past my bedtime as you so rudely commented a couple of days ago when I had you beaten.
  4. Why? if you want to talk to Sunlineboy, why don’t you PM him?
  5. It’s a sunset industry. All of us oldies simply need to accept it. For the next five to ten years, if I can get another good horse that would be great BUT from a racing and club perspective there’s not really much to look forward too, especially the way the current management are running the going down of the sun. P.S. The last words are in no way a disrespect to the ANZAC’S. The use of the words, is simply a coincidence.
  6. Pam, I doubt it. The Boss/Chief knows exactly what goes on within his own site BUT doesn't it go something like this: Oh what a tangled web we weave when we first practice to deceive. I think, that says it all.
  7. The Chief Stipes response was: Fake news. But I guess 12 meetings in 12 months is a bit taxing for Trentham i.e. once every FOUR weeks. Well these are the facts: 1 January 25 to 17 May 25: Jan 3 days Feb 0 days Mar 3 days Apr 1 day May 2 days to date. That's 9 days on four and a half months this year! Throw in Dec 3 days and that's 12 days in five and a half months!
  8. And ask Trentham to race every second weekend like they have this year? Surely not. But seriously I agree with you. Set the dates and if necessary change as you go. At least give us Owners some idea.
  9. Iv'e just replied to a post from a week ago, that I'll swear wasn't published before. Today was the first time that the "bell" above indicated that I had a response, to this particular thread, yet I have responded to a few others in the meantime. Is it because of the "new-bee" Trojan, aka Chief, aka Chief Stipe, aka Apple Picker doesn't know what persona he's currently operating under? I know that I am heading for a banning but that's OK if things aren't being played with a straight bat.
  10. Apple Picker, it will all depend on the weather is my opinion. Gee whiz, they got through today beautifully didn't they?
  11. Are you referring to my response or Trojan's? If mine, please note that I am now off to watch the trots at Alexandra Park so won't be responding tonight.
  12. Seriously! Obviously you don't own thoroughbreds, or more correctly them in training.
  13. Goodness gracious me, I am loosing it well and truly! Anyway, what I was saying is that I have had horses with two of the three naughty trainers mentioned. Hopefully that doesn’t say something about the company I keep 😂 (1 x each) with Anthony (when he was with Bart) and Scot Brunton, but not Tim Martin Scot Brunton was as good a horseman/trainer as I have ever been involved with. It’s such a shame that he now lost to Tasmanian Racing but I guess it was his fault at the end of the day.
  14. My previous posting is now EMPTY. It was edited by me (to empty) because, what I was responding to was no longer there, and what I was saying wouldn’t have made sense to anyone! Why do post’s suddenly disappear on this site? For the record I was referring to comments about: Anthony Cummings, Tim Martin and Scott Brunton
