  1. Curious, Iv'e been "off air" for 22 hours. Thanks for responding to The Chief with the exact same answer that I would have given.
  2. I disagree.
  3. I didn't know that it did. I only pop over here now and again to see if anything is worth getting involved with. As you can see this thread has attracted plenty so Iv'e thrown my five pence worth in. But as always the Chief can't help himself such as his stupid comment/question asking me if I am running a raffle to fix the electronic timing at Trentham. I rest my case.
  4. Thank you for your last comment. As an owner with a horse or two there nearly every time they run them, I certainly appreciate what they are doing and it certainly helps to offset all the other crap that we are currently having to put up with in the CD.
  5. The cash is, was, has been there, except it was spent in every which way, except where some of it definitely should have been, and by that I mean the facilities and tracks. Now it's all come home to roost.
  6. True, but things change and being fair to all, one site now stands head and shoulders above the others, at least based on traffic although I must say that this thread has excelled 😂
  7. Your statement: Arguably they struggle to maintain what they're got as is, (quote from above) is the biggest load of codswallop I've ever heard. Firstly they have $1.6 million in the bank and secondly to quote a trainer at the Jump-outs last Thursday, "these have to be the best tie-ups in the North Island except for Ellerslie"
  8. Take out the word "finally" and you are 100% correct. I think that it all started to go wrong when the funding model(s) changed around the time of Garry Chittick's reign as Chairman of the RIB. I am not blaming Garry, simply saying that's about when the funding models started changing and all clubs were forced to live beyond their means. Virtually ever club has had to sell property to survive. Take a look at the housing that now surrounds Ellerslie, Awapuni, Trentham and Riccarton. Then look at the retirement village at Te Rapa, the Hospital at Hastings and oh I forgot, the Hospital and Hotel at Ellerslie. No wonder they now want Avondale and Levin's money. I rest my case!
  9. Neither does any other club in the country out of race day income. Some like Auckland have sold everything, so have a "bank of money" from selling the bank [hill] so until that runs out they will be ok but for the rest of the country it wont be so easy.......but there again that's why NZTR led by the former ARC Committeeman Russell Warwick want Avondale, Levin and now obviously Trentham, all sold up for their own good. Well they can go and get FUCKED.
  10. What's your answer Chief to your own question? I know for certain that you will have an opinion, as you always do.
  11. And bloody good back in the day too.
  12. Answer the question please.
  13. Because no one would 😂😂😂😂 to you? Have I read it right?
  14. Or paying idiots, bloated salaries it could have been different too.
  15. Well of the new converts, they certain do, as witnessed by Waipukurau. Proof: How many from the thriving metropolis of South Auckland = 1,000,000 potential newbees' have ever turned up to Ellerslie or Pukekohe? Don't even mention Te Rapa where Barry B's mob live because the turn out there for the transferred Hawke's Bay race was an absolute embarrassment. I say no more!
