His other thigh will be off to ACC then 😂
-
Hope Rusty backed Royal Pride but a finish like that would see his thigh off to ACC in the morning.
-
That is 6 seconds in a row now. That must be an all time record! 6!!!! That is lotto odds.
-
What specifically annoyed you about the start?
-
Got away at a trial so I thought it would be ok. Really solid behind Wanna Play With Me last time. 10s is great money. I should move to Oz.

I would say about 150 proof in his drink.

I reckon you might self-combust by the last race if you don't calm down.

Tim Williams best driver in the country at the moment?

And one of those is the drive on Have Faith In Me which was one of the poorest judicial decisions ever made about race driving. -
I like Royal Pride at 6.50 and 2.40 tomorrow night. Not sure about the favoured Iggo runner at 3.30. Brent White's trotter has drawn 1 which it may not like and I think out of the Fletcher runners Royal Pride is the best value.

Unlike Croesus and Nathan Williamson, maybe punters will be in Ashvegas for the nightlife and spend up big on the pick 6 the next day?

Weigh In: Where is Harness Racing's equivalent?

At a time when all sectors need to be working alongside each other they seemingly don't. -
There are some stashed away somewhere... The days of getting a Sunday News are long gone.

Races from Swaziland take precedence over the local product. A bit better. Late scratchings of Prince Teka etc and the 10FF place money initially offered in the Cup for Ashley Locaz would be interesting 😉 I hear they are getting Jacinda Ardern on the Box Seat to talk about betting restrictions and how she thinks it is very 'kind' of the TAB to have these to help people manage themselves better. Especially the punters who vote National. You will love it Brodster as Jacinda is always on the money. -
I see Jeff Scott has passed away. He was at the Press for a long time and I remember avidly reading his articles. Seems like a distant memory when racing was a worthy addition in a newspaper. For me, his name is up there amongst the best of all harness racing writers.

Weigh In: Where is Harness Racing's equivalent?

It is not live and is shown in the early hours of the morning on trackside. It looks like TAB studios and has the TAB emblem next to the name of the show. -

They already have for the Box Seat haven't they? Industry funded. -
Belle of Montana gone now too.

I am not sure why Jake is at 101s. Doesn't make sense when those horses who will not be eligible to qualify are much lower. Maybe the TAB know something but why bother paying the nom fee if Jake is not going to start. He has come on leaps and bounds recently. The odds for the final are all over the place. Gopati, Five Star General and Midfrew Luisianbeau are all fronting on Thursday to meet the criteria. The active participants on the points table fighting to get a start are those 3 with a few others....who might be worth backing on the weekend 😁

How many people are turned off by backing a breaking horse? 'Madame Sass has ability and if she was to trot the whole way she would win this race...blah blah' Punters go and back her and then realise they have been duped.

Here is today's verdict on her manners. A warning on the racing record after 2 warnings on her barrier record after all the stipes reports below. You have to wonder what the f**k the decision makers think. Compare this to (as pointed out in the other thread) Leaf Stride who gets a warning on its barrier record in its 4th start after breaking despite winning 2 races and being out of positon at the candy pole in the other. Seriously, I just find the whole thing a piss take. How can harness racing be taken seriously when it allows horses who cannot be expected to take part in a race start. previously at Methven before that at Timaru and before that and again at Methven and again with a warning and for good measure and why not

So BK Swy roars home for 2nd today and the TAB drops it from 51FF to 26FF for the Show Day Futurity final but why is it even in the market! It is obviously paid the $115 entry fee so is on the points table but this condition below precludes it from starting. A horse must have paid the enrolment fee of $115 (GST Inclusive) and have also started at least twice at a NZMTC meeting in the period 2 August 2020 to 22 October 2020 to be eligible to start in the Show Day Futurity Series Race on 13 November 2020 Well, BK Swy, has not started at Addington between these dates and there is only Thursday night left so it will have only started once at best. The TAB entice people to back a horse which is not in my reading of the rules eligible. I actually think the stablemate Midfrew Luisianabeau was being set for the race until its late vet scratching last week. Could a person challenge the TAB if they had put a bet on BK Swy for the futurity today when it will never be in the race? Jake remains 101ff!

If Madame Sass gets going they should just let it make its way to the lead regardless of what is happening in the race. A bit like Missalyssa who broke a lot but just wanted to run. She has turned it around and is showing plenty of ability finally.

Still pays 12 on tote. Gosh there are some mugs out there. That is 8 races in a row where it has broken.
