  1. Won't be racing for awhile as it will be off to the trials to practice breaking instead of on race day. They have no logic.
  2. I just watched the replay and there seem to be people everywhere. How safe is that? Not very when you have people on the track. Defies belief. I think jumping should be phased out in the next 3 to 4 years. It is detrimental to the entire industry to see horses fall, breakdown and be destroyed.
  3. There is a glaring misinterpretation and inconsistency in application of the rules.
  4. No mate, this is the thing, the race had started and there was no interference so it is game on. No late scratchings, no recalls, no nothing. It is just plain bad racing luck. The starter at Oamaru and last night was correct because of the simple fact the race had started.
  5. lol. I can't think of a time of what you are asserting so you tell me. I gave you proof that once a race starts anything that happens is deemed a racing incident so there are no late scratchings. The stipes said it is so. Navara clearly started the race and and ran towards Prince Teka. The driver gave himself up and knew his race was over so took hold of Prince Teka and he gets a late sratching out of it somehow. What about Sundon's Flyer? You are not answering that question.
  6. You are the one who is so concerned about safety. They call off races quite often is there is a spill during the race.
  7. What are you watching? The starter had wasn't even on the scene before Navara's driver took hold of Prince Teka.
  8. But the stipes should have deemed it a racing incident as the race had started. Navara started the race and was then interfered with. Can you not understand that?
  9. Prove your assertion that if a runner comes to the aid of another they late scratch the horse? The stipes should have called off the race and had a restart if they were concerned. Did you read the stipes report from Oamaru? The race was started so it should have been deemed a racing incident. What do you think about Sundon's Flyer being interfered with?
  10. Have the rules changed since less than a year ago?
  11. Tell me why you think they should be late scratchings?
  12. In this case it is not him at fault. It is the stipes and JCA for applying the rules inaccurately. Noodlum may think I am not comparing apples with apples but a race start is a race start. The rule makers just went against their own application of the rules.
  13. That has nothing to do with it. Just because a driver is on the track does not mean the race stops. What do you think of Sundon's Flyer being deemed a starter when it was affected? Umm the rule is once the race is started they are all deemed runners. You are making up the rules as you see fit.
  14. So what has changed since Race 4 at Oamaru in November 2019? The inconsistency is glaring as last night the race had started and then the 'racing incidents' occurred. Authorisation of dividends was withheld until Stewards viewed the films to ensure that all runners were given a fair start. All matters were deemed to be racing incidents as they had occurred after the tapes had been released with all placings being duly authorised.
  15. But it is after the race has started. I don't agree. The race had well and truly started and Navara was on the journey. He elected to stop and grab the horse which is admirable but not really his job. If Navara is a valid scratching then Sundon's Flyer (as Galah points out) is definitely a scratching too. The precedent is set. You can be scratched after Lambs says 'Riiiiightt....'
  16. I have been following the movement for this race as the TAB has had this market open for awhile but it contains a few horses who are no longer eligible to make the final based on the qualifying conditions such as Gayle Force, who has not (or cannot) start twice at Addington between the August 2nd and October 22nd period. Also, BK Swy, for the same reason. BK is starting at Oamaru tomorrow so if it won people might think it is worth backing at the 51s. Add in Harrison and Texas Tara too. Five Star General who is at the prohibitive odds of 9FF has to start next Thursday to get the entrance qualification to the final, as does Gopati, Sneak a Peek and Midfrew Luisianabeau .Tread carefully. And Jake is second on the points table and qualified, ran recent seconds behind Koenigsegg and Just Holla is at 101FF. Obviously written off or the TAB know something.
  17. Correct after watching the video. Had to swerve aggressively and went into a break. Consistency?
  18. The race replay on HRNZ starts after the actual commencement of the race so you can't ascertain when the race actually started from it. From what I watched on Sky last night when I rewound it the trouble started after Lamb let the tapes go. I suppose they are saying since Prince Teka was denied a fair start the flow on effect of the incident took out Navara. My point of contention is Lamb had already let them go and then it all started. You wouldn't want to be a lawyer defending the way enquiries are handled into starts.
  19. 50 cents. Was a good night.
  20. Yip, someone dropping their guts is not really my thing for humour but I do shit myself when my horse is held up the whole way down the straight.
  21. I can't see how Prince Teka and Navara get late scratched because Lamb said the race had started and after that the melee happened. Go back to similar races like one I remember at Oamaru on the grass when a similar thing happened and they were deemed starters. I find it inconsistent.
  22. The race started and then Kyle Cameron got tipped out so not sure why the inquiry into the start is taking so long either. Navarra ran into him clearly after the race started too.
  23. No idea. What would there be to debate?
  24. How long does it take to work it out it broke before the line! Watch it in real time and it is easy to see.
  25. Gone....
