Image a GRNZ board with Bamboozla, Cockyaleg & myself filling the potential independent positions on it. Do you thinks we'd put up with the rubbish the current & past boards, RIU & headquarters have been dealing out to GRNZ members? Do you think Ferguson would have got away with fraud & match fixing for $300? Membership of the Board 18.2 The Board shall comprise of: a. four (4) persons nominated by the Clubs, a. self-nominated Club Member, or a Licenced Person who is not a Club Member under Rule 18.11b and elected by Members under Rule 18.11; and b. three (3) persons nominated by the Board in accordance with Rules 18.16 –18.18, and appointed by the Director Appointment Panel under Rules 18.23 – 25. https://www.grnz.co.nz/Files/Documents/NZGRA Constitution_15 July 2016_UPDATED NOV 2018 MASTER.pdf The board is so closed in ranks not any of the three of us would likely even get in the door for an interview. The current (& past boards) probably thinks the industry would tip over if it wasn't being governed by self-interests & favoritism. Craig Rendell got his way while he was on there. How much better off is the industry as a whole now than prior to his tenure?

This isn't the first time their kennel has been investigated for live baiting. This is the first time their kennel has been investigated for live baiting, with open eyes (SPCA). If the RIU (or the preceding version of the RIU) were up to the task (in any of the instances) or enforcing integrity, we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are today. Soon everyone who watches the evening news will know all about live baiting, although most would have no idea what live baiting was if the RIU (or previous) dealt with it in a way which reached justice to the situations. We, with interest in the code, should be more angry with the RIU's (or previous) lack of response or blatantly ignoring the situation altogether, than the live baiting that we believe has occurred. GRNZ & the RIU had the pictures in hand first, so what'd they do with them? Well I can tell you, they we more worried about how the pictures made it to them, than what the pictures were depicting. That action alone should be enough to put the code straight in to the eyes of the NZRB & the racing minister at the time & possibly the police. Is it a surprise to anyone that Rendell was the board chair when it all began heating up (or when nothing happened about it)? Accountability is going to happen to the perpetrator in the court system, but why haven't the powers of the time been held accountable for their inactions & coverups? Their crimes are far worse than the live baiting.

BEWARE: Petition doing the rounds with BS Information
Yankiwi replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Dog Chat
Where will we be headed when the Cole court dates start airing on TV3, Newshub & Stuff again? Surely the GRNZ board & the CEO are well ready for it... "Welfare is paramount" (hmmm) "Any live baiter will be struck with a $10K fine under GRNZ rules" (lol) "The RIU are the totally independent police of the industry & doing a top notch job" (Bigger lol) "The RIU foresaw the seriousness of the potential charges & immediately handed the investigation over to the SPCA" (because the cupcake brigade could handle the situation far better) These are the sort of responses well hear from GRNZ... They believe the words are justified & will weather the storm. What kind of response did GRV & NSW come out with during their troubled times? Well it wasn't any of the predictable responses GRNZ will have ready under their belt.... The only reason the industry hasn't been wound down already, is because Winston is a gutless wonder that will ultimatly use the incident for his personal gain via more time on the tube. -
Really seems to be quite camera shy considering she has been a top trainer all these years.

Like I've said repeatedly, It's not about what has been done, it's about who's done it. No it's not Denis in the photo at all. If it was, they would have come down on him so hard, the industry would have thought as though the earth split in half. Denis was not a protected species (nor were the people who refused a piss test or sent some emails off to those in power). McInerney, Fahey, Roberts (by top dog) & now Ferguson (not yet known who it is, possibly Muirhead? Cruickshank? Grimstone? McIntyre? Godber? someone on the GRNZ board or headquarters?) have all recently been shown to be. Why do you think Whiterod retired when he did? It was because headquarters started putting the heat on him, because of the blatant favoritism he was showing for the Cole kennel. http://www.jca.org.nz/non-race-day-hearings/nzgra-request-for-review-grnz-v-l-cole-decision-dated-22-may-2019-chair-prof-g-hall/?searchterm=Lisa Cole* It was no coincidence that he retired not long before this case was heard!

What do BOAY members think would have happened if this was Denis Schofield in the image instead of Bredon Cole? Enough said....

"How", well there's a few easy answers which all point directly at the GRNZ board & the RIU. Corruption Inability to execute their duty to uphold integrity & justice Favoritism Like I've said repeatedly, It's not about what has been done, it's about who's done it. Someone refuses to piss in the RIU's drug testing cup - Goneburgers. Someone email the powers & tells them exactly what they are - Goneburgers. Someone openly commits fraud which equates to match fixing (race fixing/field manipulation) - $300 fine. Well done, you pack of corrupt fuckwits.

Well top dog has turned a blind eye in this instance. He's failed in his duty to uphold integrity. He's failed to hold welfare as paramount (in future races). He's likely identified another favoured trainer to those with a keen eye. https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/13752/stewards-report.aspx UTHOR BALE (8) - awkwardly placed to the outside of DIDDILEE rounding the first bend being turned outwards as a consequence, losing ground and severely checking OPAWA TODDY. This is not awkwardly placed outside of the #5. This is not being turned outwards as a consequence. That was turning to the inner and marring the #5 dog. The dogs head positions & their tails tell the story. Favoritism, at the expense of integrity & welfare.

I'm picking that the RIU either don't pay any attention or simply ignore betting patterns from "leakage". I doubt they are even clued up enough to examine NZ TAB betting patterns properly! <Did the trainer or owner punt the family farm in the fixed odds market> Yes - Wow, they were very daring. No - No unusual betting patterns. <Investigation closed>

Hey Top Dog, Quirk, or whoever is resting tonight up in the tower, the #8 needs a holiday after tonight's run. Above is a head turn. A bit further on in the video this dog is very lucky it didn't kill itself, the #5, the #2 (from getting on heals of the commotion the #8 caused) or any combination of the three of them. How about you do the right thing & charge this dog for FTP. It's your duty to do so & the righteous thing as well.

Just out of interest, can you Harness lads fill me in a bit more on what's happening here? From what I've read on the JCA website recently, there have been two different positive swabs from your code. In both cases the horse was disqualified, yet the connections seemingly walked away unscathed. http://www.jca.org.nz/non-race-day-hearings/non-raceday-inquiry-riu-v-j-j-clementson-decision-on-request-for-a-ruling-dated-5-november-2019-chair-mr-r-g-mckenzie http://www.jca.org.nz/non-race-day-hearings/non-raceday-inquiry-riu-v-j-j-dickie-decision-on-a-request-for-a-ruling-dated-2-november-2019-chair-mr-t-utikere I find it hard to believe there would be even less accountability in the harness code than there is in the greyhound code.

https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/13748/stewards-report.aspx The report is up there now. Mike is one of the few Stewards that I believe has some integrity in his blood. That said, Mike is not on top of the charts for his computer literacy. In this instance, he probably clicked the wrong button on the way out of the Stewards office on Friday night. Regardless, I'm more than willing to wait a bit extra time for a report to be published & actually believing it will be a true reflection of what had occurred during the race meeting than some of the gibberish & misleading information his predecessor normally published 20 minutes after the last race.

Three simple question for you Mehe. What is the number of this new first time offender rule? What is the rule number that states the RIU can issue a "warning" (or "formal warning") instead of setting a fine from the minor infringement table (if that rule is there) or sending the charge to the JCA, no matter what the infraction was? What rule number says the RIU can investigate and "deem" that a trainer was in breach of one rule, yet charge that offence under another rule which was on the minor infringement table, for the ease of the RIU, the trainer & the JCA?

What rule number says the RIU can investigate and "deem" that a trainer was in breach of one rule, yet charge that offence under another rule which was on the minor infringement table, for the ease of the RIU, the trainer & the JCA? Trainer Mr P Ferguson Stewards deemed Mr Ferguson to have breached GRNZ Rule 62.1(i) in that he nominated THRILLING BILLY in a fraudulent, misleading or deceptive description. After assessing all of the evidence and taking into account Mr Ferguson's admission of the breach along with his previously clear record, Stewards issued him with a charge under GRNZ Rule 62.1(cc) with a $300.00 fine being imposed. The RIU are not the judge & jury, the JCA is... The RIU are out of control & they have been for a long time. You'll never read a police report that says a driver was deemed to be driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, yet they issued them with a $300 citation for speeding.

Seriously thinking about giving up the fight here. Why bother? I come to this social forum, pick the RIU to pieces over their mistakes, indiscretion, favoritisms, corruption and in return get support from some members who have a IQ greater than the number of digits they have (that's 10 for the dim-twits) only to be personally attacked & have sexual innuendos thrown back at me a childish manner by those same dim-twits. So apparently the Mehe's & the like out there are quite happy with the way the RIU are policing the code & believe the sport will thrive with a continuing complete lack of integrity. Where have I slapped anyone around in the Mehe crowd, the trainers that they support or even the ones they may dislike? Kindergarten is not a place I want to spend my free time. If members can't at least pretend they are grown ups, watch how quickly Yankiwi can vanish.

No chance I'm picking. There is no new rule. The rule as written... 44.8 (a) A Greyhound shall not be permitted to compete in any Race unless the Certificate of Registration and weight record of the Greyhound identifying the Greyhound and certifying that it is eligible to compete, is produced to the Stewards for the purposes of identification at the time of kennelling (b) Where the certificate of Registration and weight record is not produced the trainer shall be guilty of an offence. Rule 44.8(b) is listed on the Sixth Schedule (Minor Infringement Table). 62.3 An Offence under these Rules may be classified as a Minor Infringement Offence where: (a) the Offence is a breach of one of the Rules set out in the Sixth Schedule (which shall be an Additional Rule Appended to these Rules); and (b) the person who has committed the Offence has not committed more than two (or such higher number as may be determined by the Steward from time to time in the Steward’s discretion) breaches of that Rule in the period 120 days immediately preceding, and including, the date that the Offence has been committed. So no, no new rule. The same old rules that have been there forever. Therefore, if a trainer presents a dog without paperwork, they will have broken GRNZ rule 44.8(b). Rule 44.8(b) is listed on the minor infringement table with a first offence listed as a fine of $50 (there is no such thing as a "warning" or an "official warning", period! (note "official warning" does not appear in the rules anywhere) Anything else the Steward may have taken upon themselves & handed down is two things, Favouritism A Steward acting outside their boundaries.

More inconsistency from last night. 3) Trainer J McCook was issued with a warning after failing to present the papers for GOLDSTAR LIBERTY. https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/13745/stewards-report.aspx

I didn't maul Dyna Dave, Barrel Runner did. That's not being negative, it's telling the truth & being realistic. You might also want to note that it is on subject with where the thread started, unlike your post.
