  1. S Wallis (Chairman)…. J T McInerney (Trainer)…. Ex kennel Fahey.... I'll be keeping my eye on this new "Top Dog". Hope he's willing to step up & enforce integrity. I really don't want another lengthy watch-dog investigation which could ultimately see him cower & retire. Warning shot has been fired.

Nearly $500K in earning with the three dogs you've chosen to name Lad. What $2K is to you or me Lad would be about the same as a $2 gold coin to owners of Dyna Whatever or Dodgy Allen. If the soon $6K (fully refundable) Visa's had stopped these three dogs from coming over, then so be it. Even better dogs may have been sent over in their place to further minimize monetary risk to their overseas owners or a purchasing NZ owner planning on bringing it here. The $2K is fully refundable when the imported dog is returned to Australia. You've asked "Why" Lad and GRNZ has made that clear in their first paragraph. As you will be aware, GRNZ has been concerned about the issue of imported greyhounds from Australia with a history of marring or failing to pursue. Equally, the issue of stakes repatriation and the potential loss of reinvestment into New Zealand, along with the -prospect of animals remaining in New Zealand after their racing lives for us to re-home, has meant we have widened our thinking on the import issue. In many instances, dodgy dogs are being sent over for what some call a "second chance". The only new requirement is that after this "second chance" has been completed (be it with positive or negative results) the dog needs to returned back to Australia to have the $2K refunded. You could look at it from the other perspective. This new rule could open up an opportunity for someone to breed greyhounds & sell the for more of a premium price from the time they are weaned.
  4. At the end of the day, no-one has proof of how the synthetic drug entered the dogs systems on any of the 4 occasions. On those 4 occasions the drug was in their urine so GRNZ presenting rules have been breached. The penalty was issued for the first three breaches & then the forth followed soon after. Apparently, because of this, Earl has given up on the industry which is his right to do. The synthetic drug turned up from somewhere, so it will be interesting going forward to see if it pops up again & where.
  5. On paper, GRNZ is the one running the show. In reality, residents of Palmerston North & Darfield are running the show incognito.
  6. As for apologising, don't expect one from me. A professional make money for his time & effort. A hobbyist does not create monetary earning for their time & effort.
  7. I can fully understand how my last question has hit a nerve & you've asked me to get back on subject. If I was putting it to the system, I wouldn't feel comfortable taking about it on a forum. Now, back to that subject. Maybe I can help you with one of your initial questions. https://www.medchemexpress.com/Dermorphin.html https://www.genwaybio.com/dermorphin https://www.abbiotec.com/peptides/dermorphin-peptide https://www.mybiosource.com/peptide/dermorphin/658078 And to top this list off (as there are too many to list options I've found to add it to my cart) https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/dermorphin.html I've purchased heaps of things from Aliexpress, owned by Alibaba over the last couple of years... However, my account history would clearly show I've never purchased Dermorphin.
  8. I concur. For someone to "more likely than not" have administered their dogs with SYNTEHIC Dermorpin on at least 4 occasions, the consequences are extremely lenient. That's a greyhound matter, so therefore it has no direct implications upon my life. What I believe you have done which does have direct implications upon my life, is to be collecting a benefit which my tax dollars are contributing towards while also being a professional Greyhound trainer. Thus far in the 2018/2019 season GRNZ has this about your earnings. The 2017/2018 season shows this. That's nearly $120K in earnings over the last two years. That amount is substantially more than I've earned over the same period working for an employer 40 hours a week. So why are my tax dollars being used to support you?
  9. I too have noticed that the ORIGINAL finding, from the first three offences, which is now published on the JCA website has been altered from what was originally posted. It seems as though one of the proposed mitigating factors, which you had put forward, has now been removed from written decision which is currently available online. I wonder if the JCA are aware that as soon as they publish a decision on their website, I take screenshots of the individual pages and save those images on my computer for my own personal use. Could you provide us with a reasonable explanation, as to why the JCA might delete such information from the official record?
  10. Exactly. What happens in Greyhound racing happens. The problems lie with the way things are dealt with when they happen. Another LP at one of the same venues, in which Earl normally raced his dogs, threatened to cut the throat of another trainer. What happened to him? Another LP was on WGRC property not that long ago, whilst warned-off, what happened to him? Another LP had photo's taken of him live baiting nearing on 2 1/2 years ago, what's the RIU or GRNZ board done about that? Earl had 4 dogs test positive for a class 4 (or class 1) substance... Earl's now out of business. Why's Charles (Yankiwi) out of the greyhound business (ownership & punting)? He never got in trouble. He never did anything to get himself into trouble in the first place. But what if I had been photo'd live baiting one of my dogs at my trainers place? What would have the RIU or GRNZ done about that? Connect the dots.
  11. http://www.jca.org.nz/non-race-day-hearings/non-raceday-inquiry-riu-v-e-duganzich-reserved-decision-dated-1-july-2019-chair-mr-t-utikere What firm statement by the JCA & the RIU, suggesting/imposing a disqualification as a penalty for someone who is no longer in the greyhound business. That will really teach the serial (now four time) offender a lesson.
  12. Can I assume Whiterod is doing his job now? I can't remember one complaint on BOAY about a Stewards decision/call since his retirement.
  13. They shouldn't have got a pay-out. They should have got a $100 fine for nominating an ineligible dog. The conditions were clearly written & the Cole kennel didn't follow them. Case closed!
  14. If GRNZ actually wants to put an end to live (or dead) baiting, than this is the kind of decisions which need to be handed down, in each & every instance. Wet bus tickets are not a deterrent to those who rake in $2M a year in stakes money. The same can be said for $300 fines, which are obviously not a deterrent, for producing an overweight/underweight dog for the 117th time, when you're raking in over 1M a year in stakes. I believe there needs to be balance in penalties which are handed down. Someone with 100 dogs & $1M a year in earnings should not receive the same fine (dollar wise) as a hobby trainer, with 3 dogs & 6 wins a year on average. I mentioned it before & I'll do so again, fines should be handed down as a percentage of the previous years earnings. That way a fine could be used as a deterrent, not a laugh for the big kennels & a week of bread & water for the little trainer, when the same infraction has occurred.
  15. Justice has prevailed. https://www.tab.co.nz/racing/meeting/13175/race/137422/new-zealand-sires-produce-stakes Not often I say this, but well done to whoever (headquarters, Board, RIU) has made the obviously correct decision. Now as for the fine... I'll be looking for it Sunday night in the Stewards report.
  16. Wrong thread...
  17. And wanted to brawl just after the finish line... So fixated on the dogs to his inside, could have easily killed himself or the #3 dog, with his wayward tactics.
  18. Surely he wasn't a registered stud dog prior to heading overseas. Any semen drawn prior to being registered obviously couldn't be recognised....
  19. He's said Bye Chief... He's gone now.

  21. I'd just let them go green Chief. Responding to them only feeds their fire. I won't miss any of them & I'm thinking you'll find the same for yourself, once they are gone.
  22. I believe the Board will be deciding which way it goes tonight. To those that can read, the rightful decision is obvious. However, the Cole kennel has proven to be a very protected species, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Board decides it can't read either.
  23. These seems more the words of a scorn woman than those of a man.
  24. I too am glad Jason has taken his club elsewhere. I hope it is just as enjoyable, for those who play in it, in it's new location. Unfortunately I will not know how wonderful it's relaunch goes as I've never visited, nor intend to visit, the land of the greener grass. I look after those who look after me & remain loyal to BOAY.
  25. Further to this, Lisa Cole as the trainer should be charged by the RIU under rule 19.7. 19.7 If a Greyhound is Nominated for or races in a Race for which such Greyhound is not eligible, the Nominator of such Greyhound shall be liable to a fine of up to $100 for each Offence and such Greyhound shall be Disqualified from its original placing and all Prize Money earned and any Nomination fees paid shall be forfeited. Where such Greyhound is Disqualified, the Club shall make the appropriate placings of the other Greyhounds affected accordingly. 87.7 The Trainer shall have the sole power of Nomination, entry or withdrawal of a Greyhound
