    Marring

Well I'll tell you what (and I was begining to think I'd never say this). I am actually gaining some respect for the RIU because of the efforts of the Stewards (mosty Rick Quirk from memory) at Addington. He's been actually watching the video replays & rightfully charging dogs for marring/FTP. He's even been able to get the charges to stick via the JCA when challenged. Attention people, we finally have a steward that actually is enforcing the rules as they are written! Well done yet again Mr. Quirk. https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/13044/stewards-report.aspx 2) SHADY BANJO (C Weir) was stood down for 3 months (2nd offence) after marring another runner during the running of Race 3. An investigation was opened into the conduct of Trainer Mr C Weir when exiting the Stewards room following discussions regarding this Greyhound. 3) OPAWA SLEDGE (R Wales) was stood down for 28 days under Rule 55.1.b. after failing to pursue the lure during Race 13. 4) CULVIE CHAIRMAN (A Hart and K Taylor) was stood down for 28 days under Rule 55.1.a after marring another runner during Race 11.

They've been clamping down on the non-chasers at Addington lately. I wonder if they'll pick up on this one? Watching the replay, you can see the #8 trying to bite the #2.
  3. Thanks for the info Dazzer. I'm very glad you've made the leap.
  4. Scooby must be even more angry with me. Well watch very closely Scooby, as I know ways around your IP ban, if I someday decide that I give a stuff about what might be on your forum in distress. ?
  5. I think it already has.... I predict RC will end up for sale (fire sale) within a years time.

I believe greyhounds could get away with murder, right up the police mans (RIU's) nose. Race 3 in Auckland... Watch the head-on into the corner. The #1 gives the #8 the eyeball, continues to run straight (look at the foot prints on the track), they takes the #8 out with a head & body check. The #8 stayed focused on the lure the entire time. Greyhounds top Steward must have seen it a different way. https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/13045/stewards-report.aspx MAJIK MIKADO (1) - Was in contact into the bend and again rounding the bend and was unbalanced briefly on both occasions.
  7. Yes a very good race & impressed by the run of CC. However now in the aftermath, it has left a big question in my mind. Why was there hair swabs taken from four of the eight entrants from Thursday nights group one race (Oaks) yet none taken on Friday nights group one race (Wanganui Distance Final)? Come to think of it, why is it that Addington the only track in the country to have hair swabs collected on a raceday thus far (third time I believe)? I'm not saying anything is dodgy, but with those stats it does ring that something is a bit foul.
  8. Thanks for having me.
