  1. I suppose people can call themselves anything they want to. Officially, he is not a trainer, he's a handler. Soon we'll be finding out what the SPCA believes he is. Then GRNZ & RIU will be forced out of hiding & into action. They way those two outfits work, we'll probably see Lisa end up losing her training licence under GRNZ rules & Brendon being awarded one.
  2. Seems GRNZ will be celebrating ANZAC on Wednesday, while the rest of the country will do their remembering on Thursday. https://www.grnz.co.nz/News.aspx?NewsID=3112 Easter Weekend and ANZAC Day closures GRNZ will be closed on Friday 19 April (Good Friday) Monday 22 April (Easter Monday) and Wednesday 25 April (ANZAC Day). We wish you a safe and happy Easter weekend. Posted on 16/04/2019 1:32:59 PM Hmmm... Mon = 22, Tues = 23, Wed = 25, Thurs = 25 Really? Probably too busy concentrating on how they're going stall the GRNZ rule proceedings, after Cole has made his first court appearance.
  3. Telling the corrupt they are corrupt is a pointless exercise. Their practices are so deeply entrenched in them, they believe they are doing the right things. The top dog is a prime example of this type of behaviour (careful of any comments about any of this if you're an LP). I've heard that the RIU turned up at Lane/Wales kennel some time ago & Mr. Fahey went running bush. Was rumoured he took his needle along for the hike. Now the other half of the training team is on the GRNZ board. If anyone knows what will get past the RIU swab testing, when the RIU is going to pay them a visit, when the RIU is going to start cracking down on some rule, or whatever else you can imagine, who would be in the know any better than a GRNZ board member. It's clearly an unfair advantage & they receive a pretty decent pay packet for gaining that advantage. Yesterday, the Steward put the dog out. In my opinion the dog has no right to be back on the track. The number of times these dodgy dogs have gone off as red-hot favourites & acted in such manner is surprising. How many will it take to scare the remaining punters away? This one ran for the hills quite some time ago & I won't be going back for another dose.
  4. So what will we read next? Something like ~ <Insert greyhound name here> proved difficult to load & was put on the box first list. The trainer then realized that with no longer being able to be the clear last to load the dog, it's competitive advantage would be nullified and it was humanely euthanised.
  5. Will probably be one of the first to wonder what happened to Greyhound Racing in NZ, when it's gone....
  6. Wanganui today. Same trainer for all three dogs... https://www.grnz.co.nz/catch-the-action/13495/stewards-report.aspx SAHARA PIPPA qualified to race in a one cup blinker and is now cleared to race wearing this item of gear. ZARA PETAL which raced in a satisfactory trial as a fill in, suffered a fractured right hock after the finish line and was humanely euthanased. ZOE JEAN (8) - checked going into the bend and fell but finished the race. Referred to the Vet and euthanised due to a carpus fracture.
  7. Denis Schofield didn't live on the training Property. J Mac doesn't live in Darfield & Palmy. I'm sure there are more...
  8. Yes the #3 does have its head turned, while not free of interference. That happens sometimes if another dog has already pounded on it a couple of times & looking for another chance.
  9. Can anyone find Lochinvar Flash? Awesome Quality needs to have a drug test. If the #5 or #3 were a police cruiser, the #1 would get pulled over in a heart beat for erratic driving.

Agree with you on this point Trevor....

Members of BOAY did not have blood & hair samples from the lure arm in Coles bullring DNA tested. The SPCA did have & have filed 7 charges of Animal Cruelty against Brendon. The SPCA has spoken. Brendon/Lisa/Craig haven't, other than their claims of jealousy. I have no doubt in my mind if he's guilty or not. The question in my mind is will it be proven in a court of law. Even if that threshold isn't met, the balance of probability will weigh heavy on the guilty side, when it gets to the JCA.
  13. Drain the swamp seems to becoming a more popular phrase. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/the-country/news/article.cfm?c_id=16&objectid=12048865

Potentially... Mr. Barsi could be named as a defence lawyer.... I actually hope he is, as he doesn't seem to be worth retaining anywhere near GRNZ headquarters.....
  15. Thursday, May 7, 10 am. Palmerston North Court House Court 3 Session is open to the public. Maybe it's time for a road trip to PN for all concerned parties? Bring your poodle or pet rabbit along for the ride. Maybe play this following recording over a loud speaker system outside the court house. Maybe a ring tone for inside?
  16. Don't shoot the messenger! It's not time for celebration... yet... For those that thought two years was far too long, have a look at another animal cruelty case the SPCA took on... http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/7196848/Balfours-banned-from-owning-cats-and-dogs A verdict handed down in 2012 for crimes committed in 2006 & 2007. The GRNZ Board needs to act right after the first hearing in court, if not before. With the lack of leadership the GRNZ Board has shown over the last two years, I wouldn't be buying any race dogs or even consider breeding a litter. It's VERY likely greyhound racing will be outlawed within the next years time. What happened at Coles kennel happened. What didn't happen at the Board level because of it will be the death blow to the code. How can the current board be expected to make a tough decision, when they've clearly shown they can make an easy decision in this saga? I agree... Winston needs to have a look into this or there might not be anything at all to look at in the very near future.
  17. More likely related to "Woofdon" or Deathsquealdon"

Holden has his place in this mess too...
  19. Coward .. for roughly two years now!
  20. TV3 seems to know who was charged & how many charges they will be initially facing.

  22. He probably thought it was the police that were turning up to arrest him, so he was just hiding the drugs he hadn't yet delivered to PN, which were to be used on his dogs, that sometimes sees them drop dead at the lure....
  23. It doesn't matter what Lisa knows. She is the trainer of record so under GRNZ rules & the code of welfare she holds the ultimate non-transferable responsibility. When the dogs died on the ferry, it was the trainer that took the rap for it, even though he wasn't on the ferry himself. Same rules will apply in this case.
  24. I've made no claims Jason. I've just stuck with facts as you've requested.
  25. Just a refreshers for those that missed the original post/posts. One of the untouched "poodle" images... The same image rotated 40 degrees CCW, cropped & then zoomed.
