GRNZ posted her details. I'd say it's necessary for them to do so for anyone to speak with GRNZ's contact representative about ~ Communications Integrity matters Media enquiries Stakeholder engagement Reports https://www.grnz.co.nz/about-nzgra/contact-us.aspx I generally choose not to use the root they'd prefer. I like communications to be out in public. The questions & feedback I have for them, they'd probably prefer to answer privately. That's why they want you to ring them. Some credit to Dave for bucking that system. Also, that's why they have a disclaimer on the bottom for their emails, so what they inform you is required to remain secret between you & the GRNZ staffer that sent it. The disclaimer starts like this...

I started a topic with a bit of a deep dive about who I am. You locked it.

Some good news! The anti's only want the first 9 races banned at Manukau. They seem happy with race 10 & on. \
-
I was speaking to Dave. Are you his spokesperson?

If true, fair enough. Since the Stewards report is unclear out what actually occurred with Big Time Loch, I wonder why the RIB hasn't advised of an investigation being opened into the "error" made by the Otago official or fined them for their part from the minor infringement table. Officials are meant to be held to account by the rules. The error would have likely caused undue stress & risk on the dog traveling two days and had no benefit to anyone or anything involved. Welfare is top priority, unless it's inconvenient or forces the powers to look in directions they don't want to. I suggest you contact the integrity person within headquarters & have them get to the bottom of it. Obviously, the RIB has dropped the ball.

Wanganui Friday. So the dog started a race, faltered, failed to finish & was vet checked. It had no obvious fractures. It was given a 28-day (Major 1) stand-down. The Steward did not require an x-ray in the coming day/days. The Steward did not require it to satisfactorily trial prior to resuming. I thought all major injuries required a satisfactory trial prior to resuming to race. Next as a stakeholder and for transparency, where is this available to view GRNZ? https://www.grnz.co.nz/Files/Advisories/GRNZ Industry Progress Report 12 December 2022.pdf It's not linked in your "Guidelines".

Liz even got to meet one of my charges prior to us first speaking in 2014. I think we were both excited about Manukau's soon to be installed safety rail that day. .
-
Yes I have! I don't have a problem with Liz, I have a problem with the way GRNZ employed her thru the back door for a job that never existed before they designed the job for her. GRNZ head office staff currently 2024 = 18 desks https://www.grnz.co.nz/about-nzgra/contact-us.aspx GRNZ head office staff as of Jan 2018 = 12 desks https://web.archive.org/web/20180122041439/https://www.grnz.co.nz/about-nzgra/contact-us.aspx GRNZ head office staff as of Jan 2014 = 9 desks GRNZ head office staff as of June 2010 = 9 desks Why does GRNZ need twice as many staff now than they required 10 years ago? Are there twice as many track to oversee, no there is one less. Are there twice as many race meetings to oversee, no there are less. Are there twice as many race starters to oversee, no there are less. Are there twice as many trainers to oversee, no there are less.

What really did happened here Dave? So, are we to believe you traveled from your home kennel down to Invercargill, then decide that Big Time Loch wasn't suited to the box it was to start from the reserves in & Olive Tree didn't fall within its weight range? You didn't have any other dogs start today, so that would be a lot of driving time & petrol down the drain not to even gain a start. Just where was Olive Tree weighed to find out it was outside the allowance? Methinks something dodgy has been reported by the Stewards today.

Please provide me with a previous COO GRNZ has employed. Please provide me with a GRNZ advertisement for asking for applications for the role of COO prior to MS Whelan's employment. Prove your fake news claim as anything but being fake. Prove me wrong - here's your chance.
-
This one? The one who was hired by GRNZ to fill an unadvertised position that never had existed before it was designed for her?

Quarterly report to minister Q1 2022. AHWC minutes 24 Apr 2024. So GRNZ expanded racing opportunities for older dogs because of a recommendation in the Hanson report, yet now want to add some restrictions on the racing of those same older dogs.

What a wonderful operation GRNZ runs. No April minutes available until they are shamed on BOAY. Then it suddenly appears within 8 hours. https://www.grnz.co.nz/Files/Animal Health Welfare Committee minutes/AHWC Minutes 24 April 2024.pdf

Goldstar Hans (#8) - 1st look at Manukau - 21 Jan 2024 - Jumped last - Finished 8th after heavy contact from trying to hurdle the running rail. Goldstar Hans (#8) - 1st look at Wanganui - 28 June 2024 - Jumped last - Finished 1st after running well off the running rail & circling the field. How did he know to stay well off the rail in Wanganui but not in Manukau. My picks - Lure much closer to the lead dog (therefore much closer to him as well) & safety rail partially obscuring all the dog's vision around the bend and acting as a visibly higher obstruction.

Ok, I'll dial it back. Facts ~ He's All Go Has an incredible race record Has great acceleration & incredible speed like no others currently Has unmeasurable strength & bravery Has had two recent races where he had expelled globs of phlegm on the track The phlegm, it's not normal. If it was normal, more than one dog would do it. The RIB simply ignoring it raises suspicions. Especially the 2nd incident, after the first instance had already been previously questioned and it occurred with a Steward basically in tow & he even had to deliberately walk around the blob on the track, so he didn't step on it. Is something dodgy happening? Is a sick dog being allowed to race? I don't know. But when the officials turn a blind eye to something so obvious, just like they did with the well documented bull-ring images, I'm going to question it.
-
Well obviously, I'm not the king of animal welfare either. I didn't even know that I had a pet greyhound. Throw the book at me.
-
-
So, you're suggesting the dog might have been dehydrated and the kings of animal welfare didn't bother checking him for it with a post-race vet check? And even after coughing up half a lung with a Steward in tow, they didn't bother swabbing the dog post-race, because he was swabbed prior to kenneling? Unlike you, I don't take the MSM news reports as gospel.
-
How do you know he didn't choke one up? If race replays provide all the evidence, it didn't happen in the Waterloo cup either, right? Oddly enough, he had a massive one in the unedited video.
-
As predicted. No mention in the Stewards report. Apparently being on the track is only a "general Health & Safety concern" at Addington when the RIB is looking for evidence to come down hard on someone else. https://racingintegrityboard.org.nz/decisions/christchurch-grc-1-february-2024-heard-26-february-2024-at-addington-raymond-casey/ As for Mr Irving's "Facts" NZTR have no mandate whatsoever at Addington. GRNZ, yes. HRNZ, yes. NZTR, no.
-
Since when is a trainer allowed to stand out in the middle of the track just a bit behind the traps, when a race is started? Isn't this under the control of the starter? The lure diver powered up the lure with someone standing in the middle of the track? So many questions that will have no good answers. Likely another one to slip between the cracks of the normally blind useless northern "senior" Steward.

On 12 Apr, He's All Go pocketed over$15k for his win of the Group 1 Hatrick Classic race in Wanganui. During that run, he happened to cough up something the Stewards weren't interested in on the night. It flew out of his muzzle thru the air and was clearly deposited on the track, but no-one seemed interested. Once prompted, I understand the Stewards did eventually do a token look into it & decided there was nothing to see here, it's just some dog saliva. Then on 9 Jun, in his next Group 1 race the Waterloo Cup, he was again successful in winning the event and put another $15K in the till. After the dogs had been caught post-race & being led back to the podium, the very rare occurrence happened again. This time with a Steward (in Hi-vis) right next to him while it was happening. And he finally spat it out & left it in a clump on the track just like he did in Wanganui. Once again, it wasn't of interest to the Stewards, even though he seems to be the only dog to do this sort of thing & he only does it for the group races. He must somehow know how important these races are. Anyways, he'll be racing again on Friday night trying to win the Group 1 NZ Futurity out of the #3 box. Hopefully his connections have made it clear to him how important it is that he banks another $15k & they get him primed up with something to cough up, either during or after the race, that the Stewards won't be interest in. Wait a minute... Here's a bit of history for the RIB to absorb. This guy with He's All Good on the podium after the Waterloo Cup race looks very similar to a former GRNZ board member (2021) who was a syndicate owner of Zipping Sarah. You remember, the Zipping Sarah that tested positive for meth & pretty much put the Freeman/Turnwald out to pasture. Surely, it's just a coincidence. Do the right thing RIB. Next time (Friday night?) he coughs up something none of the other dogs do, retrieve the substance from the track and put it thru thorough testing in your lab. If that doesn't return any anomalies, then send some of it over the ditch to get tested. This isn't normal.
