  1. Oh my bad it's still there awaiting 'moderation' from 5 days ago Justice delayed is justice denied In the name of the magna carta Oh hold it...you maybe right "Despite those policy statements in New Zealand statutes and caselaw, there remains significant censorship in New Zealand beyond that of most developed countries" Cant you just pretend you're an advocate for freedom and mirror Trump's idea of free speech? "Constitutional Protection: The U.S. First Amendment (1791) explicitly protected free speech, and it was later recognized internationally, such as in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). "
  2. You DELETED an innocuous post, that's not "free speech delayed"
  3. I said something fairly innocuous in reply and "got moderated" aka "free speech" not really free speech So i'll leave it to you boys and girls to sort out...I've got tomato's to pick and 'kussundi' I'm gonnnnne
  4. Take a look at the corner...Jazz got one over on Billy by "pushing out" Of course 'pushing out' happens in every race..as the Stipes said "we let it happen (aka competitive riding) but we dont let it go on for that long" In a fit of pique Billy got really annoyed he let it occur...pushed up and then stuck his elbow into Jazz's chops...AGAINST THE RULES BTW would you say "young man" to Billy who's 27 when "young lady" Jazz is 32? It's a put down isn't it?
  5. The days of in field 'picnics' are over that's for sure It's like the 'idiot' who decided to name the "Souff and Norf Islands" North and South Islands ...decided to insert the black tar sealed car park directly behind the winning post...in field picnics on black tar seal?? na thanks Imagine if Royal Ascot decided to do the same? King Charles and Camilla wouldn't tolerate it and nor should we
  6. oh cmon mate, whats wrpng with the above post? he called me a "raver"..you know that aint true So I cant reply to this outrageous slur?
  7. Blessed is the moderator...indeed all moderators are blessed for they shall inherit the earth RIP Stu Dromgool An iconic Cambridge character who always had a roll your own hanging out the side of the mouth but could train Olde school, built out of the same cloth/era as Bob McCosh, the legendary Matamata trainer who refused a drink in the President's room after winning the Great Northern with Bob's Luck...probably felt embarrassed having a hole in his hat
  8. soz, you must've missed my last post Changed my mind...go for gold macca boy
  9. Blessed are the moderators Oh yes but you don't need the whip when you have BO on first time!
  10. oh soz you misunderstand me During the 20 hours it took to post the previous MODERATED post moi changed moi's mind 20 stikes on a 2 yo is FINE Is changing your mind here allowed?
  11. Good on James McDonald for appealing and getting a reduced suspension and only a doubling of the fine to 40K The stipes pointed out it was a 2yo and shouldn't be overly punished Oh cmon, talk about woke, any horse can take 20 strikes including 2yo's cant they?
  12. Typical Aussie rules allows 'natural justice' and cheating Mackers get his days suspended halved but fine doubles Just so he can ride in a big race in a few weeks time ffs, what's 20K to Jammie when he could be making 100K + in %'s? It's like our ridiculous Traffic fines...when a millionaire gets the same 'fine' as a working class hero..now demerit points hurt millionaire boy racers Demerit points = suspensions How easily bought are Aussies...and as soft hearted as butter wouldn't melt for a sob story Did J Mack start bawling his eyes out or something?
  13. STILL sucking lemons I see I'd recommend getting into the MYER...less acidic and more palatable for upset tummy wummys didums As I've said many times before, any gear change can be factored into form analysis...especially BO's For long term lemon suckers ..if one has ID'd a competitive horse ( i.e your rating system) at a value price...I also apply an extra few units depending on what type of gear of course unlucky for you...the first 3/4 had blinkers ON today...2 first timers
  14. First of all I'd like to thank CS for putting my posts on 'moderation' Soz missed this in all of the hazzze...Yes when I said "mug" I didn't really mean moi...of course...DOH Taking examples... OHOPE WINS, last start winner and Wexford decide to adopt BO (first time) A very simple example of a punter asking the question 'wtf would they apply blinkers after a winning run if they didn't think it would improve her performance'? Sure enough post race Doyle said "helped her concentrate no end" Interesting though she was still running in somewhat and he couldn't go for her (flank whip with a double movement initially contacting the flank by marking the stronger hit) until very late and got up on the post with an impressive acceleration
  15. Tell us bill, you'd know, does coca-cola send you into the spazosphere, or is that pepsi?
  16. This from someone who couldn't read a basic auctionaring to and fro that my 10yr old Grand Daughter could understand (although she is a member of the 1% club) "FFS @curious the same bid watcher had both of them in his sight. So I'd say no extra bids were taken. The camera shots don't show you where the current bid is." Seriously, how could you be so lacking in perception? Do you have cataracts and/or need hearing aids? .Here, educate yourself with the HK situation. However I dont have much hope you'll care a squat about horse welfare given that you said "nothing wrong with horse's being struck with the whip between the ears" Giving horse's furosemide is a disgusting procedure that has no place in modern day thoroughbred racing and thank goodness an insightful jurisdiction like HK bit the bullet. BTW, this is a classic example of irony, NZTR's supposed commitment to horse welfare but still rubber stamping the rapid dehydration of horses to allow them to be worked harder "The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) is a prominent, strict proponent of medication-free racing, with a long-standing ban on the race-day use of Lasix (furosemide) for both training and racing. Key findings from studies and observations regarding the HKJC's approach to Lasix include: Longevity and Performance: Research conducted on Hong Kong's racehorse population, which competes without Lasix, indicates that Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (EIPH) does not necessarily shorten a horse's racing career. Study Findings: A study titled "Descriptive analysis of longitudinal endoscopy for exercise‐induced pulmonary haemorrhage in Thoroughbred racehorses in training and racing at the Hong Kong Jockey Club" found that while EIPH is common, it varies in severity, and there was no significant difference in the career longevity of horses based on whether they experienced EIPH (EIPH+) or not (EIPH-). Performance Without Medication: Observations by HKJC officials have suggested that horses are able to perform at a high level without the use of Lasix and can recover quickly between races. Comparison to US: The studies in Hong Kong serve as a contrast to the widespread use of Lasix in the United States, with HKJC officials noting that their model demonstrates that racing can be successful without the drug. The HKJC enforces a policy where horses that suffer severe, repeated instances of bleeding (epistaxis) are subjected to mandatory retirement, focusing on the health of the horse.
  17. So a proposed new rule banning 'withholding water from a horse" my understanding is Furosemide is still allowed here in the training of horses...just as it is widely used in Australia by the likes of Waller How can NZTR rationalise speaking of their commitment to 'horse welfare' while allowing the rapid dehydrating of horses in training? HKJC have long since banned the use of F in training as punters became aware some were using and some weren't...which in turn screwed training analysis it should also be banned here "3. EQUINE WELFARE. It is never acceptable to stop a horse from having water, unless a veterinarian has specifically told you to do so. This behaviour should be dealt with seriously. While Rule 1402(1) generally requires that a horse’s needs are met, deliberately not giving a horse water is considered a much more serious matter and should be clearly banned by the Rules. NZTR proposes that Rule 1402(2) be amended as follows: 1402 (2) Without limiting sub-Rule (1) of this Rule, each person to whom this Rule applies in respect of a horse must: (a) ensure that the horse receives, as soon as is reasonably practicable, husbandry or treatment that alleviates any deficiencies in nutrition or provisions or unreasonable or unnecessary pain or distress being suffered by the horse; (b) not withhold water from the horse to the detriment of its health, welfare or safety
  18. That's highly offensive to the spastic community I dont care about moi...but just speak to the topic or forever hold your piece...which looks as if your well qualified to do
  19. You closed the thread (like you do ANY time you're on shaky ground) just as that pow @bono was about to prove your "embellished" totes wrong This case is highly relevant to the topic, and good on @curious for posting, but if he/she was ID'd in any way then it's entirely possible DC could complain after feeling "insulted, humiliated or caused serious emotional distress...or has been harmful to the reputation of the NZ Racing Industry" DC being the highest profile NZ owner aka as being ID'd for doing an 'OOPSEY' on National TV That Vogels ad has nothing on this has it?
  20. 50M out, just when RAMBLING ON looks to level with THAT'S GOLD, Collett drops 2 consecutive whip strikes, not to mention her usual illegal whip barrage in and around the neck/head But get this, due to the race NOT being Black Type, her fine was a piddling 1k when an 80K listed race would attract a 50% fine Should've been 50% of $8750...$4375 Basically gets away with a smacked hand for blatant cheating
  21. Moi thought it was an interesting story and i'm guessing that pow @bono did as well when he tried to post the photos..only to be upended by you who obviously doesn't like new posters I picked my ears up when a TOO DARN HOT came into the ring now with a service fee of A275k ...this yearling from a 44k fee Beaufort Downs took a huge risk in sending SPRITZ over and reaped the rewards.. especially when an extra 20k suddenly entered their back pocket courtesy of an oopsey doopsey Who doesn't like an oopsey...just not in their pants..maybe DC did after that...who knows?? Fun to speculate eh... I recommend making '26 a fun year for yourself
  22. oh crikey...you've only gone and done it! I too received the naughty piks and also the entire video sequence! As that piece of work BONO (did some shocking 'tradesman's work for me...not only stole my wifi password but also my partner!) said, "blessed are the videos because videos DO NOT LIE" Say what you like about BONO, he takes a very good video it's also a very good example of the human condition of 'trying to save your mates ass' by the Chief...this time his beloved TA I can send you the actual video if you want but I'm sure I don't need to Of course at the bottom of the screen is the current bid price which stood at 300K when DC thought he'd made the final bid It then mistakenly shoots to 325K when MH puts in his bid, then comes back to the final 320K As you say nothing startling...a genuine error between business partners which was quite funny to observe Nothing "embellished" about any of it
  23. Oh well for experienced horsemen such as yourself who can distinguish a fit line from a plimsoll line then yes For mug punters like moi...who thrive on hearing a trainer tell us "neddy has trained in blinkers and improved out of sight" rather than having to guess, then no Recently the trainers association pleaded with trainers to "dress proper, talk proper and shine a light on the industry with a professional approach' What they said, just like the rest of the racing world
  24. Oh ffs give it a break It wasnt moi who used "corrupt" that was Ralphy And you want 'balanced'? That's Ralphy with a chip on both shoulders "nuance"...I'll give AI that where the sun dont shine...f in robots back at ya
  25. yep whatever will work EPL coaches are paid by the owners not the FA obviously but are required to front by the FA who pass any new rules...such as a recent half time coach interview trial...that they can turn down at their discretion...not the post match though
