  1. Pretty much globe is on the mark... The Shark tips all 3 codes..then has a killer instinct for Sport as well... ...he/she never sleeps and is in constant marketing mode...The Shark does this...The Shark loves that..,The Shark's always on the move..hunting down prey for the Punter to profit...that https://www.tab.co.nz/punters/tips
  2. Cmon what's the go with FOXTON ffs? Are you lot on the Committee committed to getting racing back there.. ...or just stirring the NZTR types and making political statements to further the stubbornness factor when forced into a corner by the suits? This place is a good reason why a NZ Racing dictator should be in charge to make things happen isn't it..and why country Committees don't work... ...after all...who's in control of NZ Racing... Its the Clubs isn't it...looking after their own self interests??
  3. More GREAT news Kopa!! Winn has got this..he's gone to the Well..and pulled out a luminary in Deano...who's not wet behind the airs...and the whole lot of Rita's have gravitas...ok? As for the World Economy...all indicators are pointing to recessional type conditions...even with the magic of Jacinda wee old NZ can only do her best in times of trouble.. ...and that involves INFRUSTRUCTURE type investments to stimulate the country...including you In the meantime I feel you need a good dose of emotional self management...instead of going off half cocked like your fellow lunatic Gun Holding licensees... ...enjoy...I usually sit back with a Stogie and a glass of Poiten...best
  4. Maybe we should leave it to the experts on the field here... Lance O'Sullivan... ..whenever he was on a neddy with a big weight...he'd try to race a whole lot handier ..as he found the reaction time to accelerate was slower as the weight increased...
  5. ...if you enjoy your olde Man v Beast scenario...remember the Irish love their horses...at Cork enjoy https://mobile.twitter.com/mlverney/status/1146406737400008704
  6. No they don't...12 mls OVERNIGHT is totALLY irrelevant! It's what falls AFTER Scratching time obviously... Again for slowbies like Reefer and shrew... 6Mls falls AFTER 7.30...goes from H10 to 11...ok to scratch...no questions asked Ditto H 11 to H 12...this time FINED ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE...but the RIU...rubber stamped by the equally IGNORANT JCA...thinks there is Vile got SCREWED BIG TIME
  7. Oh FFS...this case was the LAST meeting...you can't have a case heard and published by the JCA BEFORE the meetings even over Wake. Up.
  8. Look, I realise you want to get a 'hate Thomass' narrative going... But you should have realised by now IM NEVER WRONG..ok?? 6Mls fell after 7.30 until race time...FACT A change in track from 10/11 connections can scratch..FACT 11/12 they can't....FACT 6Mls =1/2 Rating points...FACT Vile should have been able to scratch his horses....FACT Mr Balcombe said that after the Committee’s earlier ruling that Mr Vile was not authorised to scratch his horses Mr Vile said he had sent his horses back to his training establishment in Palmerston North. Mr Balcombe said he had no option but to advise the TAB the horses had been late scratched after which Mr Vile was told he was being charged with scratching the horses without the approval of the Stewards. Mr Balcombe said whilst there had been 6mls of rain since 7.30am, jockeys spoken to after Race 1 had not expressed any safety concerns for themselves or their horses. It was for these reasons the Stewards had opposed the late scratching of the 3 horses. To a question from Mr Vile Mr Balcombe said the Stewards did not believe the rain that had fallen since 7.30am had had a material effect on the track. Mr Vile also asked Mr Balcombe if he thought a time of 1.53 for a 1600m race was “bad” and Mr Balcombe said he could not comment on that because each track’s surface was different. Mr Vile reiterated what he had said when the Request for Ruling hearing was held. He said after the running of Race 1 he had asked the Stewards for permission to scratch his runner in Race 3 and his 2 runners in Race 7 because of the very heavy nature of the track. He said in the interests and welfare of his horses and their riders he wanted to scratch. He said he was aware the track was rated as a Heavy 11 earlier this morning but since 7.30am there was more rain and the NZTR website had not been updated from 7.30am when it was showing the weather as “Overcast”. He said had he known after 7.30am that it was raining he would have sought permission from the Stewards to scratch all his horses from the meeting before leaving Palmerston North for Wanganui.
  9. Actually you cant read.... If any Trainer goes to the races believing a 'forecast' you'd have mass Morning scratchings.... its very common for Trainers to take a track on as stated...then scratch if they think the change is going to totally flatten an unfit fresh horse for example ...6mls is very significant and a H 11 to a H 13 is at least 6L difference Besides...it's their right to scratch if there's a CHANGE OF RATING...and as stated 6Mls extra is most definitely a change of condition Wake. Up.
  10. Shocking case this of more ignorance and arrogance from the RIU... ..handling, what should have been a clear cut welfare issue.... Vile takes his team of 3 along to Whanganui...clearly on the website it states..."Weather: Overcast H11 Maybe he's got the heads up from the Trackman that it's only just into the 11...but that's beside the point... The point here is Trainers can scratch if there's been a downgrade of the Track through a race meeting...no probs Here, not only was the Weather not updated by the amateurs at the RIU to now "Raining"....when Gazza got to the course he discovered there had been rain and 6 MLS!!! On any course in the country that's a downgrade of between 1/2 Rating points...6 to 7/8...8 to 9/10...it's an historical fact Because the RIU /NZTR ignorant suits refuse to have anything greater than an H 11 rating... Vile couldn't scratch his horses...upon finding the previous 11 was now a total bog... RIU " the track has not been materially affected" "Fine 3 Hundy for scratching without permission" What a crock of b/s... Vile saved his owners and Punters a trip on a bog track with no chance...and gets fined for looking after the Welfare of his horses... What a joke...but that's the RIU for you...rubber stamped by the highly expensive JCA SHAME ON THEM
  11. And retired hoop Damian Browne..with his best buddy BUFFERING in the retirement paddock....awww
  12. Awww... Now retired Champion Brit sprinter BLUE PRINT...saying goodbye to his trainer's kids...before he starts the rodgering side
  13. Great to have you back Muddy... Just remind us agin wrt WEIGHT you factor in 0.1L per 1 kg...right? What about bog H11 tracks over...let's say 2200M...any adjustment compared to..let's say a G2??
  14. Can't you read Magoo? I said in moi's previous post I take "no account of weight" on the face value of the said race.. ...if however moi's form analysis on superior form..back to inferior class is without Winter App allowances being taken into account..Set Weights back to Handicap... Im all over it like your rashes... Its like Bazz and Muddy not allowing for neddys being UNLUCKY, WIDE WITHOUT COVER...et el... BUT...Muddy even acknowledges more/ less weight = time gained/lost it must be true then
  15. Excellent idea... ...would work perfectly at FOXTON...where the best track in the CD is hopelessly left idle...because they want to build a flash stand.. yea na
  16. It's called 'Political reality' kopa... ...more than likely getting rid of the Piano player would have meant a massive payout... Winns simply saved the Industry money...and McKenzie will have strings being attached to Johnneys mouth as we speak... enjoy
  17. Oh cmon Weas..it's more than likely The Shark doing it... ..and hes across ALL codes and Sport and can't possibly know what mares get up to at night
  18. Grate work... So can you post the screen shot of the email please Fred? Perhaps they can't count to 33 Parkes strikes...and they're oblivious to the math of it all?
  19. I'm not saying your philosophy of on pace runners and tempo is wrong Bazz..each to their own...indeed Waterhouse insists on racing that way... ..but your application is...without using an algorithmic system you're prone to fits of pique... ...kicking yourself in the Breeders Stakes when tossing up between the winner and an also ran...then complaining to your bff that "I'm getting lots of places" ...then you experimenting with place betting...have you run that past him btw? ...and as ATA keeps reminding you...the failure to complete the last 3 'experiments' of your " massive run of outs" ...then poor Herman rushing to your support after tipping a lone 10/1 shot... "that'll sort Thomass out" Wake. The. F. Up.
  20. Ask any breeder what they'd prefer...no contest As for those Stats you're wanting...do it yourself... Im going with the real Science..."problems with wind and bleeding are inherited traits" Breeding without inherited traits v with...mmmm what do you think? WINX would certainly not have been using Lasix in Germany in training... ..when she was in Oz..so it's not unfounded at all
  21. Obviously that stat is connected to 'in form and out of form' horses... ...they're not robots Horses train off and drop in ratings (weight)...a drop in weight won't help an out of form horse Take two comparable performances at Set weights/WFA... Back to a handicap I'm adding 0.2 sec per 1 1/2kgs to the neddy on the lower weight... Of course I take into account wide without cover, unlucky, unsuitable conditions... Whereas Bazz and his mate take no notice of those considerations "last 3 starts ignore" Every single start I'm looking for reasons to increase/decrease the performance quotient of a neddy ...and of course our Winter bog tracks accentuates the weight advantage... ...hence the stat last week of 13 races in a row in the CD won by claimers... ...a coincidence? Yea na
  22. Just getting back to the Maiden Handicap races to increase betting.. ...it was advised in the last Handicap Review...totally makes sense with the huge numbers of uncompetitive maidens about... ...at present its a terrible waste of horseflesh "I am confident that a Rating 50 race can be developed successfully, these races should be open to maiden horses that have raced at least on 3 occasions in Set Weight Maidens, in reviewing the list of ratings of the horse pool there is a “big tail” at the bottom end of the ratings." Handicapping keeps your horses competitive fred and fires up investment... you know it
  23. ...but not tuff enough to race with a sink hole this big!
  24. Another top class performance tonight...runs them into the ground like BG too https://mobile.twitter.com/HKJC_Racing/status/1145623379635871745
  25. Where here Weas? I didn't see it but I'll take your word...Bazz 'labels' a hell of a lot at "massive odds just get on" though if you notice? Yes totally agree..that mare has the constitution of an Ox and will improve to be one of the standout mares into the spring
