  1. And the world also needs more restricted punters getting a fair go.
  2. Haha I agree re people posting there dinners on facebook, I’ve never got that although I do enjoy the mad butchers breakfasts that he shares. I tend to agree re in play betting, its such a pain with the tab website in its current form.
  3. Yes, although I don’t recall any party specifically campaigning on the issue.
  4. This is the worst form of hypocrisy. It cruel and dangerous so we can condone it in New Zealand but feel free to have a bet on the Darwin Dogs every Sunday till your heart is content.
  5. Because it’s not politically palatable for the tax payer to stump up for the costs.
  6. I got sent a text about boosted odds for the horse in question. So I am wondering if it was a number of bets totally roughly $100,000 rather than one large bet of $100,000.
  7. I would have thought a lot of those betting on MLB would be looking at pitchers before they place a wager.
  8. The Broadster would be all over the $1.60 for Leap to Fame if he could get a bet on.
  9. They don’t even list the pitchers for baseball games on there website anymore.
  10. Agreed, I find it painful attempting to get a bet on. Normally takes about 4 goes. I can’t imagine how you would do it for a fast moving basketball match.
  11. I have no idea, I’d assume not to anything like they were saying as their pre monopoly. The platform is a bit average for live betting.
  12. They were expecting most of the growth in sports betting rather than racing weren’t they?
  13. He’s so restricted he cant even win enough to buy a two piece quarter pack from KFC these days.
  14. Good post. Totally agree, absolutely fanciful to think the bulk of turnover would just transfer to the TAB while ignoring the reasons it wasn’t bet with them in the first place. Unless of course every person betting overseas was a problem gambler which would then fall foul of there problem gambling rules (which is apparently one of the reasons the legislation change was needed).
  15. Yes but it will be ok to wager on that cruel and dangerous sport in the future from overseas venues we just can’t condone it in New Zealand.
  16. I would have insisted Dr Luk Chin drove the horse.
  17. How much did you lose?
  18. Totally agree, hypocrisy of the highest ordered. It’s such a cruel and barbaric sport we need to ban it in our country but wagering on it overseas is fine. Makes no sense to me.
  19. Exactly, they are contracted to run the wagering side of the business. You’d suspect it’s all bluster and it’s actually the tax payer who will stump up for it one way or another.
  20. Yeah Wellington NPC crowds are rubbish aren’t they. If you are a HOBM supporter you are going down on Saturday.
  21. It’s almost like they need to bring a former starter out of retirement to remedy the issue!
  22. I got that and wondered why they wasted there time sending that out.
  23. I found the 16 points up being paid out as a winner on 365 quite good. Haven’t had a bet on the nrl since the ban. My spend certainly hasn’t increased with the tab since the ban.
  24. I was there today, the ground sold out. I’m not sure what more you want them to do? They put an event on and people turned up. The game on the field was a little bit disappointing due to Thames not firing a shot and it pretty quickly turning into an opposed training run. I’m not having a crack at you but the days of crowds anything like that for a shield or NPC match are long long gone, life gets busy and technology makes it easier to not go to events.
