You know what Mehe, you're right, I dont know for sure that Pip hasn't recently decided to come forward, so I've said my plea to other potential witnesses to come forward, now I'll lay off and see who comes out of the woodwork when it matters, but I really hope she has! Furthermore, I did NOT come on here and say Cole WONT be charged, rather I said Bret from SPCA couldn't tell me if he was confident on charges laid or not, and that he was concerned because some witnesses had withdrawn statements, I said that didn't fill me with much confidence! I was being cautiously realistic in my updates to the BOAY community, but Mehe if that was me being 'so wrong' then I was more than happy that I was wrong on that occasion!

It is a 'case review hearing' , I dont exactly know what that is but can tell you the witnesses are not required to attend and give evidence at this stage, obviously we are a while away from that. Now I understand the anger and emotion, I really do, but it's pretty unbecoming behavior to be honest. I think Mehe said something about Phillipa Morris was asked to do live baiting by B Cole but she refused, so what has she done wrong? Well I have an answer for that...she hasn't come forward and made a statement to SPCA about that incident, or her time while employed by Cole!! Thats what she's done wrong. Leaving those of us who are telling the truth to play the 'he said, we said' game, it's very upsetting to say the least! we could do with all the support we can get!! that goes for Andre P aswell! And anyone else out there, it's not too late to come forward!! The only possible excuse, apart from being gutless or weak, is that you are concerned about the image of Greyhound Racing, and I can understand that too, but let me say this, we are going to Court anyway, its Cole that is damaging Greyhound Racing's image, so let's deal with him the best we can while we've got the chance! While the SPCA and NZ law are on our side, because it's our only chance of some justice!! We are never going to get that from RIU or GRNZ!

G Calverley is on the board because he was voted there by the LPs....NOT !! Just another one of Rendle/Holden's rorts to get an agreeable nodding head at the table. Is there anyone out there that voted for Calverley in that rorted election a couple years ago? Where is he? Is he contactable? Is he/ has he ever done anything to help or represent the LPs? These are genuine questions I suspect the answers are NO but always stand to be corrected.

The last time LP's voted on something that process was corrupted too, by Rendle/Holden and co, 4 votes for G Calverly magically turned into 104 votes, just so they could keep their muppet on the board. LP's have lost every ounce of power they might've once had, and a failure to stand up to this corruption means it's now too far gone to ever get it back.

I've joined Ladbrokes recently, I'm happy, I've successfully completed deposits and withdrawals in this time with no issues, I may never step into a NZ TAB again, it feels strange (as I used to be mainly a NZ retail customer) but I'm getting used to it, and loving it. I got $200 worth of free bets upon opening account, I find I regularly get better odds especially on 'loyalty' bets on NZ sports teams for example, and also through a feature they have called 'odds boost' where approx 5 times a day you can select a boost turning say 2.20 into 2.50 or $12 into $16 (I dont know exactly the % rate but that's a rough example, also awesome specials where they are affectivly giving you money I.e Winx last start you could have $20 on Winx at $2!! Others might have other agencies just as good but I'm now wondering what took me so long to do this, was stuck in the dark ages I guess.

I dont know anything about this case, like others here I would love to hear or see the full story so I can understand what has gone on, but it sounds like a huge Welldone to Deb Edlin is in order!! Like others have said the code is stuck in the last century on a number of issues including H&S , Integrity and the other big one I think is Employment law issues, how many of the hard working young people in this industry are employed/paid correctly? Including keeping of Leave Entitlements etc, I read an article recently, and there's plenty of examples of this, where a builder was sacked, he was drunk on the job and wasnt the best worker however still managed to walk away with 11K+ because the Authority discovered that his employer had no record of hours worked, Leave taken etc...immediately made me think of people 'employed' in greyhound industry. Again Welldone Deb !!

Have to agree with the current conversation, I watch Trackside and 'blacklist' anyone I see helping out Cole. Mugs. Also the Rendle/Holden combo was one of the more crooked in GRNZ history and that's saying something. Rendle gets awards for that too.

OK I've been watching on for a while now and I think it's time for a summary of things as I see it - for what it's worth. A) Clearly Honestly is J Mc Jnr, I cant believe he keeps taking the bait and sticking up for the family empire. B) Count Crackers was most def trained by JT Mc...search any historic dogs on grnz and it defaults back to the owner. (Hence you see a syndicate in there as trainer) I support and agree with J Goode's assessment/memory of those happenings with Count Crackers in the late 90's, I was just a pup then but I remember the scandal of that dog stumbling to the lure/collapsing etc and then the prohibited substance (kyno) being found in its system. I received a phone call from SPCA updating me on the current state of play with the Cole SPCA investigation (because I'm a witness/former worker who has given a statement). - the investigation is over. - all evidence/info is with their Lawyers assessing the next step, whether they have enough to lay charges, what charges they might lay etc. - next update expected by Feb. - the investigator said he 'couldn't tell me whether he was confident or not' He then went on to bemoan the fact that some witnesses had refused to give an official statement or withdrawn their original statements and/or have stated they are not willing to speak up in court should it get that far. I must say by the end of the conversation I wasnt feeling overly confident that this will go any further, despite a 2 year investigation!! Maybe I'm wrong, fingers crossed I am for those of us that want to see justice for the good people of greyhound racing.

I agree that there are some (lots) of issues with the RIU , and that they do need to wake up to a lot of things , i also agree that there would be no harm in a little extra investigative work regarding an issue such as this (swabs etc) , however in saying that I'm also of the opinion that in this instance Sheza Rippa was just turning the bend when the lure/rest of the field did.
