Yeah forgotten highway cost me a good multi collect today. Very boring racing today virtually all races were a dawdle up front then a sprint home, except forgotten highway couldn't jog a descent last 800. Very strange for Methven usually more exciting racing there

Hi All, Please find below a message from old mate on another site. Could this person actually be Mark Purdon? I can NEVER agree that one stables complete domination of harness racing in Australasia is a good thing for racing. I do actually agree with alot of what you say Far, but I can't afford to pay $100 + a day to race a horse with you Mark and Nat Not allowed to say what I like. Far too much must have the bluest tongue out there? I see that you posted this on another site, can you tell me when you "were not allowed to say what you like". Peter Lamb a typical ex cop doesn't think he has to defend himself to anyone. In saying that at least sometimes he does try and get them to stand before releasing the tapes, some starts down south are pretty much running starts. As a punter all you ask for is consistency a pity P Lamb can't cop it sweet so to speak. In can remember the late great Jack Mulcahy calling horses in behind the tapes "Rightio you bastards up ya come" That's gold!!!

Yes if u back Mark and Nat you should, but I seem to back their wrong ones. Had a good multi running through slingshot on cup day, massive run but beaten by stablemate. Did have a good collect off Copperhead Rose in the quaddie on show day tho. Is taking multi's the best way to attack things?

We had a horse with Jamie a few years ago, horse wasn't much chop but he is kind to horses when training them. From a driving on race day point of view i don't think he is any harder on horses than Mark and Nat. My point being Mark and Nat's horses virtually always push through a horrendous pain barrier to be driven as hard as they are and continually win, how they do this so regularly has got me and most others beat. Natalie doesn't mind getting serious with the stick either!! As a punter I would rather see a driver show vigor than not, I recall Timmy Williams just sitting quietly one day and one Matty Williamson bloused him out wide.

Yeah i had a good collect too, was a big run couldn't believe it held on and won. The whip rule is a tough one, as a punter you want to see the driver look to try and get the best out of the horse. A very good horseman J.T Keast

I thought he was once a rather unbiased journalist but since doing his part time thing for Purdon I can stomach him biased opinion.
