Had a brief interest in this horse Whodunnit back in 2004 between Feb and April, prior to purchasing out of a claimer its form line was 1,1 then our 5 starts for a sole 2nd , then claimed back by original owner and back to old trainer and it went 1,1,1 but it did get those last 2 wins DQ'd I see.

He's a rating 58 which is the problem. He won an amateur race recently and would be an ideal ongoing amateur horse, but the amateur races are no longer programmed to include claimers, and are generally for up to R53 horses. So he's got to run 5 races worse than 5th to become eligible in a grade where he would be competitive. In saying that, if claimers were allowed, he'd certainly be on my radar. Who knows, if placed well, he might pick up another race in his current grade.

He had some bloody good horses in his day, CC my fav horse. Remember when he won the NZ Cup, I was up the top of the then Public stand and Brian O'meara watched the race from up there too. Presented his horses beautifully too.

HorseTrader easy to list and buy. GavelHouse I've registered as a buyer which is a simple process, but haven't yet bought so not sure of that process. I'm picking it would be pretty straight forward, pay-up and change of ownership papers completed.

Yes I have. Horsetrader - Bought a $1000 horse who won 5 for us plus a met bonus, a $2000 who won once. I look at horse trader most days. GavelHouse - Have looked but not yet purchased.But wouldn't be afraid if the right one was there at the right time. At least with horsetrader, there's often something there when you're ready to buy ! I also like buying out of Claiming races, but they are few and far between. Every low class race should allow a horse to have a claiming price, good option for owners to sell their horse, a little bit more work for racing club secretary and the stipes to check the claimers box.

I read somewhere that the TAB/John Allen stated that this would be added in the future, but I read that a number of weeks ago, guess we have to be very patient.

Thought I'd take a look at the results of the Bettor's Delight progeny at Auckland sale and share that with you guys. I'm not a breeder, and not sure what BD's service fee was, but somebody mentioned approx $30k above, I see it is currently $25K +GST. Summary : 36 lots, of which 1 withdrawn, 4 Passed In, 9 sold in the $16k - $30k range, 9 in the $31k - $40k range, 8 in the $46k - $75k range and 5 in the $100k plus range. I note most of those sold for $30k and under are Woodlands Stud offerings. If you were a vendor, what sale price would you be happy with? Will be interesting to do the same stats on the ChCh Sale with 80+ Bettor's on offer. On Auckland sales, look like the Captaintreacherous and Muscle Hill's were the sought after stock, limited numbers but good sale price.
