  1. Are they that close? I imagine Ellis watches his diet carefully these days. Bosson has had more comebacks than he 's had...girlfriends.
  2. Finishing 3rd in a Grp 1 ,only 1 and 3/4 lengths from a very classy winner is hardly tragic, one would have thought. $1.20 is the distressing factor.Odds on shots go down every week. Look at Kapalua Sunset in a Grp 3 last Sat at Caulfield.Huge tip. Getting rather tedious this topic. My assessment remains the same...does yours?
  3. Trainers (and jockeys)are never short on excuses. If you don't like that excuse she has another one for you...rider error- Williams should have upped the tempo...earlier! p.s they may well be better 'on another day too'!=thats the point.
  4. ' 'That’s one of the main reasons we took him for a spin around the Caulfield course proper on Tuesday. Yes it was good that he had his first look at Caulfield, giving him a hitout on the tight track ahead of his tilt at the Group 1 Might And Power on Saturday.' All the signs are good for Zaaki as he chases his third Group 1 win. He’s naturally just kept improving and you will see on Saturday that he’s now looking even better in the coat.' He does still lay in a bit going the Melbourne way, although that doesn’t really worry me.
  5. On that basis..all systems go for Zaaki. Do you think he will win?
  6. A gallop,a trial are different from a race. Did Zaaki work at Caulfield.? Are you picking Zaaki to win the CP?
  7. On those stats I would too. Seems that the $1.20 tote price has fuelled attempts to justify him running 3rd in a Grp 1. So far we've had the 'blame' attributed to the Caulfield track itself, track conditions, rider error......maybe on the day Probabeel and Non Conformist were just better.
  8. Rod knows what you learned at Lincoln! 3rd in a Grp 1 at his first go on the track. Nod may have nailed the reason he was a bit disappointing.
  9. You are tying yourself in theoretical knots now Chief. To remind you of the origin of the discussion.....Zaaki having his first start at Caulfield ran 1 and 3/4 length 3rd in a Group 1 race!
  10. The variables you mention prevail at ALL tracks. Anonymous, finer ,more experienced judges ............'....do behave..Chief.
  11. Supposedly they 'can sometimes not fire' at MV either. This will be Zaakis first try on the course n'est ce-pa.
  12. 'horses for courses' is based on real stats.i.e. Awapuni 12 starts 0 wins...0 placed. The UNinitiated, regarding training horses can form their own opinions regardless. Much the same as you do not have to be an All Black to have an opinion on AB play. ' But more often than not they will race OK next time there.'=oh really Chief!Hope you're not making it up as you go. By the way ,I think my memory is pretty good....and I'm not a....horse.Lol.
  13. Can Moonee Valley' catch some horses out',can Doomben, can x,y,z?
  14. Heard you the first time! Please qualify 'the majority of opinion'=how big is the poll sample? Can you not see that by stating' CAULFIELD can catch some horses out'you are adhering to the 'horses for courses' theory.Lol.
  15. No I didn't. You are guilty of 'changing your mind'...the evidence is here to confirm it. My position is consistent to the premise.Show that it is not.
  16. No ..all 3 are stating the obvious ,measured to 'horses for courses...I'm sure you are familiar with the term. JMac actually rides unlike us,and Annabel Neasham but his opinion is no more relevant re this issue.i.e 'opinion'. Verifiable stats are what reinforces facts as opposed to..opinion.
  17. Ever heard the term...'horses for courses'....it is NOT reserved for Caulfield. Another big day for JMac at Randwick on Sat.
  18. Flyblown...forgettable day...but Nature Strip and Incentivise were sublime.
  19. Masked Crusader was huge...looking at the reply.
  20. Magnificent win.Smashed them -too short for me.CS..your pockets must be...bulging.
  21. Hell's bells ..alive in the Randwick quaddie-1-2-14-15-
  22. you're a good judge-'James McDonald might be lucky to win one today! Soft 7 tra 1 ride to go ,he's made roughly $800,000 in %'s so far!...NS looked to settle ,quite nicely.Lol.
  23. So what do you put first...the 'economy' or lives?
