    Crowds should be able to be on course as long as they keep their distance,not hard at most racecourses,maybe a sniper could watch th crowd and if some are not keeping the correct distance then they they can shoot on site,I think if people know the rules they should be fine lol😂😄

    The thing is racecourses, they are plentiful with space,yet you can go into a supermarket,the mind boggles(yet again)

    I dont think it's good to be too critical of some,they are simply doing a job but O Connor I do think does good things in his field.

    Ain't heard nought about the two clubs issues,is anyone any wiser as to what's happening,the more one hears nought the less positive things maybe.

    I wondered where he went to,I wonder if Alexy will end up in oz,probably got another 200 runs left in him,but in all seriousness O Connell certainly gets the best out of his horses and in reality they perform ok on any given day so I guess if you like going to the races as he does then why not just keep doing it.

    What kind of lifestyle is when you spend half the day going to work and the other half going back home,what a bunch of plonkers.

    People can laugh but in reality that place sucks the rest of the country dry,most of our income is derived from rural nz,they hardly produce a decent sporting side,for a place with the numbers that live there it's a poor achiever.

    Auckland being situated where it is shows how a mixed up country we are ,the arsehole is normally at the bottom end, not the top,maybe that's why lots of shitheads live there.

    Another way of looking at things is that clubs pay stakes based on turnover,if you look at aussie a lot of horses racing for 4 and 5 thousand stakes,they still turn up.So why not in nz,does it matter.

    Forbury have about 5 of those winter thursday meetings,will they be better than the invercargill thursday day meetings,sometimes day racing might be better to get the early money/interest,often by the time Forbury fires up lots have had their quota of racing for the day,something else to consider. And having said that are southern thursday meetings better than sundays,we never get to see the figures these days,sometimes interest has declined on sunday.

    This is where clubs like Forbury are hindered,poor dates poor fields,can you blame them entirely for the situation?I notice Manawatu have the thursday night before Easter,a good night normally but addington race at same time I think so which clubs will be pushed into background,can you tell me. I'm not sure though if you get a different payout by sharing the same day as maybe cost are less as in running on own,does anybody know?

    I do find the guy at the tab reading out all the bets before a race pointless,what interest is it to me if some guys put 500 on a race,as much interest as some guy putting 2 bucks ,maybe the odd big bet like a multi that needs 1 more win or a big bet on a major sports event but not just all these pre race wagers.

    Well no betting site will survive if everybody wins,as for your statement all they want are people with gambling problems and losers,probably,the wall to wall racing and driving turnover obsession is how these places stay afloat.

    Nathan Guy was minister of racing for national.he thought racing had a all weather track,at Addington,no bullshit.
