  1. I wonder about similar races appearing here. For example, the 350k SI trained race next April. Given that the big stables have SI arms, will that really work the way it seems to be intended?
  2. Not sure what that comment means but I certainly wish I had one just like him!
  3. Listening to Cameron last week, it sounds like a number of problems are related to contracted out services and servers and they won't be totally fixed until they bring everything back under their own umbrella next year. I'm no IT expert but this seems like something that should be able to be fixed by someone.
  4. I'm back. Figured out how to get rid the ads. Apparently my sub expired 3 years ago!
  5. I meant in NZ. Has there been a positive?
  6. This is interesting. Has there been a methylphenidate +ve in NZ?
  7. http://i1.cmail20.com/ei/y/4D/1E6/836/133051/csfinal/NZTRRoadshowsEDMBanner-9900000000079e3c.png In November and December 2023, NZTR CEO Bruce Sharrock and COO Darin Balcombe will be undertaking Roadshows across the Northern, Central and Southern regions to meet with local stakeholders and provide a strategic update on NZTR activities. 8. Bad error I think. Will need to find 3 lengths.
  9. This was the original correspondence. F'd if I know what the election had to do with it when it was pretty much as expected anyway. http://i1.cmail20.com/ei/y/4D/1E6/836/133051/csfinal/NZTRRoadshowsEDMBanner-9900000000079e3c.png In November and December 2023, NZTR CEO Bruce Sharrock and COO Darin Balcombe will be undertaking Roadshows across the Northern, Central and Southern regions to meet with local stakeholders and provide a strategic update on NZTR activities. I'll await the response to those of us already registered with interest.
  10. Not sure what the election has to do with it. I'd already registered for the proposed November one but have no direct correspondence about the deferment other than seeing this.
  11. I know that. I'm saying that Longines say up to 1300. I'd say up to 1400 here, not up to 1600.
  12. I'd say here: - 1400 sprinter 1500-1700 miler 1800- 2200 middle distance 2400+ stayer
  13. I certainly don't think many would consider 1600 a sprint. Longines uses the following categories for their world rankings. S 5f - 6.5f : 1000m - 1300m M 6.51f - 9.49f : 1301m - 1899m I 9.5f - 10.5f : 1900m - 2100m L 10.51f - 13.5f : 2101m - 2700m
  14. By whom? It is in the NZTR venue plan as being a remaining track in 2030. Existing and retained. Not sure where you get that from?
  15. If it were insurable at $10m, why not? Better promotional figure at a guess.
  16. I didn't bother but probably as Michael Dore did on the other channel. 1/8m odd.
  17. Does seem that it would be better to do the remedial work BEFORE a scheduled meeting if it was a known issue as it seems and can be remedied it seems in a matter of a week. Meanwhile, inconvenience and expense aside, health and safety of horses and riders is put at risk. If the issue was that obvious, why wasn't it apparent to those that inspected the track on race morning?
  18. Get the $10m from the Everest promotion but where's the other $10m come from?
  19. Yes to the headline question. And way more robust and effective.
  20. And the demographic that Entain appears to be targeting with their promotion of the race here.
  21. I agree. Steep entry fee compared to most other races the only difference and it is a partial sweepstake because the entry fee makes up less than half the stake. The rest is ädded" money. Like a lot of big races.
  22. Yes it is a partial sweepstake race. It is also open to all comers.
  23. I agree that it doesn't need any pattern race standing. It's status stands by itself without that.
