    Foxton grows grass on pretty much pure sand and that generally races pretty well. Awapuni are reportedly trying to replicate it, though whether you can do that in a swamp remains to be seen.

    Yeahh, the roots for most grasses should be down 3-500mms before using it. Why they raced on it before that was achieved is beyond me.

    Ran pretty straight without causing any interference too. More secure track surface than the likes of Ellerslie though.

    Don't know where you got the 7% from. Says 5-6% reduction in energy expenditure from what I've seen. Still not evidence of any improvement in performance. Think I was the first SI trainer to win a race with one 25 years ago. So, I'm a fan. Cheap and can do no harm.

Bosson’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday 14 April 2024 and to expire on Friday 26 April 2024, on which day he may ride. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Race 7: O. Bosson (Imperatriz) 14/4/2024 to 26/4/2024 – careless riding shifting out (AR131(a)).

    Yes. I know that. It's what I said. The chief seems to have nasal strips muddled up with blinkers. They are a bit different though his current TA horse doesn't wear either. My question though was where are the "studies that show @ 10% improvement on average"? Thanks.

    Restricted sale races are a marketing tool for runner-up sales companies. I don't think the likes of Keeneland have to offer them to get the best horses there.
