  1. They certainly are losing their customer base. Only 2 pods in Kaikoura these days and often not working as was the case yesterday again. I have online but I watched 3 potential customers unable to get a bet on getting really upset. Pitiful to see. They don't seem to care
  2. Possible he is in charge of the remote for the day to activate the replays
  3. Well said Nomates. Spent a bit of time with Errol on his visits to Riccarton in the last few years and really enjoyed his company. Great trainer and he possessed those attributes which everyone who knew the Skelton family, admired. Was sad to hear the news and condolences to Lois, Susan and other family
  4. God help him if he drives at Cambridge ?
  5. It's in Australia Happy https://amp-abc-net-au.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.abc.net.au/article/9972132?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQECAFYAQ==#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From %1%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.abc.net.au%2Fnews%2F2018-07-11%2Fvirtual-horse-race-gambling-considered-for-wa-in-tab-sale%2F9972132
  6. Great summary Happy. Just on international racing, am all in favour of broadcasting Breeders Cup from Santa Anita or Gr 1 racing from Japan etc but all the other wall to wall claimers and dirt racing is really one step from showing automated graphics we can bet on. Less is more is not a philosophy the TAB is embracing
  7. Fair call. I tend to follow Churchill's advice 'when you're going through hell, keep going' ?
  8. Can you already see your Westport tips rolling home at Reefton tomorrow Newie? Be careful about resting when the old 'back em three times' rule hasn't been adhered to ?
  9. Am experiencing a similar drought at present. You wonder how you ever back a winner in the middle of these runs. One of these days it'll all turn around again and will be easy. Let The Good Times Roll!
  10. Such a shame. Morphettville is a great track and the provincial and country courses like Balaklava, Gawler etc really make for enjoyable racing. Lived there briefly last century and have fond memories of the city, the racing and some fine racing folk
  11. Meanwhile on Trackside Radio yesterday David Brideyoak trained a winner, Ches Black went around instead of Chez Black and poor old Mahamedeis had his name completely butchered. It makes me cringe listening to it.
  12. Slim used to make an sell work sulkys in the late 1970's and early 80's. They were really good quality, painted dark green and black and cost around $250 in those days. Think he was around Chertsy at the time.
  13. They're not that far ahead of the curve surely?
  14. Radio NZ use a photo of a galloping race in their story on the internet a few minutes ago....
  15. I actually thought Elton John wouldn't look out of place at Royal Ascot with the suit he was wearing, very subdued for him
  16. Excellent article. Had read about Woods in Practical Punting a few years ago from memory. Thanks for posting
  17. No, when your lucks out, it's out......
  18. Pearl Warm Warm scored in Hong Kong this evening to give Paul his 400th winner up there. Well done

  19. Aiden O'Brien has 4 runners in the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, 2.35am Monday our time, so may atone there.
  20. Agree Newmarket. Most of the news items I have read on the internet the day or night before. Found a 1972 copy of The Press in a shed a couple of months ago. 4 pages of Racing. We were spoilt then weren't we?
  21. Was Donna's third runner up there, congratulations all round. Singapore Turf Club have an excellent website and there is an article about the win on their homepage http://www.turfclub.com.sg/Pages/Homepage.aspx
