No excuses for dodgy gear….should be fined bigtime if found to be in bad repair. They stop racing if the track looks like being a problem, yet look at this, far more dangerous.

Look, I know punting is never easy, it’s gambling and anything can happen, as I backed it EW I only lost small amount …. but it peeved me off so much I didn’t have another bet at TAB / Betcha all day in protest. Used Sportsbet n Aus racing and even NBA…. but below are a few points. 1, WP chose to get pocketed around 600m from home. He had every option to track up on the outside, chose to go inside as horse that missed start took that place. 2, That resulted WP in tight racing room turning for home, had plenty of time to react, not a big field and while runners were racing together tight, it was very compact, 3 odd metres inside or wider and he would have had a clear run to line. They interviewed him after winning on hotpot…. was asked about being 3 wide in small field, he said he should have gone around earlier, sadly never mentioned first race. Stipes should have asked question, as didn’t give horse every chance to win

Interesting race, the kiwis have good draws, especially the inside 2 that begin well. If I picked one it would be Swayzee, but kiwis be in mix

You know what, yes I’m having a moan because this cost me money…. WTF was Wiremu Pinn doing on this horse….3 nags missed the start, one ran off. WRTH settles just behind leaders in great spot… was counting my dough with the $6.50 I got fixed odds…closed at $3-70… But, turns to crap. The 3 slow runners made ground, instead of moving off rail Pinn thought he would stay on rails… but then in straight thought there’s a heap of runners in the centre of track… let’s try my luck….. winner gone before running 3rd. Ironically if he had gone inside, could have driven a kenworth truck through. Yep, as I say, is my money talking, luckily bet EW, but it’s hard being a punter knowing that their selection picking was spot on, but the muppet on horse would rather be unlucky. If I had that horse, wouldn’t ride again

Either way, piss poor riding.. Although, a race or 2 later, a horse jumped out bucking and the jockey did a huge job keeping on….

Terribly unlucky. I hate it when I like a nag, think it’s value, but have to take into consideration how badly others can drive….Harrison should have peeled out earlier, if it was outside leader turning for home it wins….

In general, Wilson and Harrison good. Just the general standard of racing today as well as driving….i had a feeling in that race, Boudica was my bet of the day, but only had 20% of my bet ew, certainty beaten. Leader just walked, no gaps in straight flew down outside

Looking forward to Addington returning to an exclusive harness track. I used to go to QE11 years ago only on occasions, but enjoyed being so close to the runners, but equally sitting up in the stands between races looking around remember the 1974 games. Once they moved to Addington, I lost interest to zero, went once and could hardly see them, never again. In fact on the dual code nights, it annoyed me more listening to dog racing between harness, so made me go less. Not unhappy to see them go, be interesting to see what Addington does with the inside track once the dog track goes. First thing, put up a decent winning post..

Hey TAB…. How come all the expensive packages are all sold out….. yet the $160.00 BGP have plenty available….maybe not so many want to be in a room with you and other like minded people… Downward spiral…..

Who knows… those selecting may not even have invested in the punters club, or if they did have a small investment. Those selections they picked on Sunday surely wouldn’t have taken long…. flip a few coins & dices.

Ha ha, here you are talking about stalking… but your looking back though my posts about BGP. Hardly bitter, you forget to mention I have said many times they are doing well getting more people to the track…. but as usual you only see the negatives in all posts… Anyway, a bit over you, it’s great that you see the positives in everything in NZ racing…but for most on here they are realists, tell it how it is.

I see BGP selling tickets for Champions day in March…. $160.00 ticket?? Includes 2 free drinks, carvery rolls and mini beef pies…. WTF Who is making the dough?
