Brodie
Watching the races tonight from both Auckland and Addington. Seriously, the racing excitement between the two courses is miles apart in my humble opinion! Addington may have looser class horses than Auckland but the racing is far more Interesting and a damn sight easier to sort out! Auckland they just sit until they are in the straight and you have buggerall chance if you are not in the first 5 turning in. Auckland may have more races tonight but there will be more people betting into Addington than the borefest that Auckland harness has become. May not be the most exciting racing, but its for that reason i thought artisan the bet of the night. Paid good money for reasons unknown to me. Straight to the front as always over 1700m,dictated and won easy enough. Was a long way back in grade as well. Backing a winner always helps.

Is hard to understand you sometimes mate. The leading trainers and drivers in the country are at Auckland tonight and you still bag it. Just as well they're not at Addington or the poor old North would be like real shit. Why can't they do their thing ? Barry and Scott are turning out some lovely horses lately , and Bernie and Co have good Trotters , the 3 yearold race was great. John Dunn and Mark Purdon winning races. even your mate Carter is there instead of Addington. The Derby and Nz FFA winners are racing too . Merlin and Self Assured. Just don't see how it's Chalk and Cheese ??? . Still the same horses and drivers trotters and pacers. The VERY BEST there is are competing ??? No Chalk in sight.....😪 It's not like you're comparing thoroughbreds to Standardbreds or anything... No the wonder the Game is Struggling so much in New Zealand these days with that level of support on a harness site.
Gammalite
Well Self Assured wasn't much hope in that with Scott Phelan just driving a road block race on Mach Shard, to make sure the horse he co-trains Merlin had easy time in front last lap. Was the least 'trying to beat the leader' drive I've ever seen in a 4 horse field . didn't even go up to it's wheel in a 57 second last half?. Scott Phelan is terrible driver at trying to win races and only drives when stable-mates are in as the 'get in the way' driver. so often it's not even funny. So therefore Brodster........ Think i'll Change angle and say ADDINGTON had/has the better/cleaner racing lol 😁🤣 2

Gamma, firstly Auckland as var as I am aware is the only harness only track to race the wrong way around! Secondly, yes there were some good horses and drivers i. auckland as the stake money was good, however the tight class race had 4 starters! I dont bother following the Auckland form at all as it doesnt interest me anymore! The Addington track is much fairer than auckland and they dont run the short races. Personally just believe that Alexandra Park track being smaller than Addington has something to do with the racing being less attractive than Addington! Will ne interesting to see the betting figures for the two meetings.
