Brodie
As you know I am a huge fan of mile race lol. Just read that Bridget Blue Chip Who was trained by Robbie Holmes has won at Menangle over the mile in 151.7 mile after sitting parked! Bridget was a reasonable race horse but pretty one paced I thought, she never set the world on fire racing in Canterbury. Now trained by the Tritton’s who as we know can fire them up! Who would’ve thought this mare could run that time after a hard run in the open? Mile Racing is an anomaly, and I am sure that there have been heaps of horses that have been retired in NZ when they could’ve been extremely quick performers over the mile in Menangle or the states!!!!! Yes ordinary horses can run 53/54 halves on those manicured tracks over a mile, can make average horses look sensational. 1.51 will look good next to her name as a broodmare
Happy Sunrise
Same as in America where the lowest of the low horses run time. All conditions are in favour of the horse.
the galah
Anything tritton gets grows a leg. Dozens of horses he has trained have improved out of sight. Nothing new in that.
