NZTR finally take track maintenance seriously

Recommended Posts

At least they got rid of Foskett...even though he got an honourable 'Suits' like discharge..."we've thoroughly loved your work" b/s...

theyve now brought in Todd Treweek...good genes...and Old enough to have some international experience behind him....

...maybe the old timers will get in his ear and tell him not to believe in any fairies in the garden...I.e. Water, keep it long for a good cushion, pick a beautiful looking grass so it looks good on telly...

...anyway NZTR have decreed each club will provide a Track Maintenance program each year...

...and a Blue Print for any major works...overseen by Toddy

Maybe it'll work...anything would be better than what we got over the last few years

Oh yep it's all about appearances....

Todd appears to have a bit of gravitas the way their talking though

Will his father have his ear....for a bit of old time/new time stuff?

If the Arstralians go ahead and stop over watering...and that works..

...will he look into the science...or just follow?

Without a significant change in ideas,  the same processes will be followed - and the same result will ensue.

It is immaterial who directs the orchestra,  the tune will be the same - albeit with minor differences.

Correct Freda. The manner in which NZTR have insisted tracks are presented is fundamentally flawed. There needs to be a new philosophy. Not all 'new' ideas are constructive and result in good outcomes. ⛷️

Freda let’s hope your place is “first cab of the rank” so we don’t have to put up with the shit they served up last week.

Premier Race Day and everyone wants to stay away from the fence is not good enough.

First job take the control of irrigation away.

Foskett appeared to get the DCM after the Otaki debacle....

...Maybe before that the roots were sewn for Bernie... with issue after issue...

Your Track Manager is the head of the Assoc. Freda...have you ever chewed the fat with him over irrigation Type chit chat and deep rooted strategic outcomes??

He's not really a 'chewing the fat ' kinda guy....to be fair many of the track problems he has inherited, not created.. but the pervading culture doesn't fill one with confidence.
