Mark D
Is it on the list to be closed? Seems to fit the criteria

I saw some coverage from Whanganui?? Seemed to have a pretty decent turnout there. Are they on the chopping block?

Weasel
I'd say Cromwell is likely to get more meetings, not closure
Mark D
Yip well attended, get new people to racing, doesn't cost the "industry" a cent for upkeep, too successful

hesi
Wanganui – Venue with 11 race meetings in 2017/18. Good location. Training. Requires renovation of course proper and general facility improvements and landscaping. Leased/Freehold. Cromwell – Venue with 1 race meeting in 2017/18. Iconic one meeting venue. Fair location but growing population area. No training. Requires renovation of course proper, general facility improvements and landscaping. Leased. Both being retained Some should read the report before going off half cocked Edited December 2, 2018 by hesi
Turny
Hesi, if it was freehold it would be gone 1

Turny
I am deciphering the report - if they are leasehold left alone, they can't rape the clubs assets
hesi
They are looking to amend the wording of the Racing Act, so not so much rape, as unlawful entry
Mark D
Good to hear although as I suspected the analysis can hardly be called "deep".
