Trentham Track Inspection

After significant rain during the week the Trentham track is particularly heavy with more rain predicted prior to race start time. The Track Manager, Regional Track Advisor and the RIB will inspect the track early Friday afternoon. An update will be provided after that.

I guess on a Heavy 10 the horses won't slip!

That's the thing isn't it.  The track was safe last week when others around NZ over previous weeks have not been. I think it is more a case of not wanting to create maintenance work leading into more important meetings.

At least the rail is out 6m where some track managers are simply shifting it 3m which of course creates fast lanes next time at TRUE

Not many in the country left without bias on Heavy going.

 It was near dangerous in some of the earlier races, when the decision to go wider needed to be made!
