Thomass Posted yesterday at 01:22 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:22 AM A very pointed comment from Guerin last week "I've heard Bosson could be more open to other rides from other stables in future" Coded 'SACKED' Afterall THE Premier stable contracting someone that doesn't align to their beliefs perhaps? You know the rest I'm betting the final 2 G1's to the hundy will NOT be on a TA trained horse
Chief Stipe Posted yesterday at 01:55 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:55 AM Or simply he is unable to ride at 55kg.

Chief Stipe Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM Still one of the best Jockeys. Current strike rate 4.15 which is the best by a long margin. Just an issue with weight and so limited in what he can ride.
Chief Stipe
I see he rode quite a few yesterday for Te Akau. https://www.teakauracing.com/news/te-akau-ni-tuesday-trackwork-1 If there has been a change in his contract then it would be a business decision based on the fact that at Opies current weight there aren't many horses he can race ride for Te Akau with the demographic of the horse team shifting to the younger horses. Opie is still first call for track work when the TA trainers are looking for extra insight on how a particular horse is going.

I guess it's about 'branding' in the end Does brand ALL BLACK want drunken wingers smashing into garages damaging the 'brand' as well as the garage...sending the owner into a mental meltdown?? Would brand Te Akau choose staff with good family values to align with their 'clean' professional image rather than 'tother'? Will BGP keep chanting their hero's name on Karaka night for example, knowing their 'women' members are few and far between? 1

They wouldn't give a stuff about his values, so long as he is churning out the winners , the sport is littered with example after example of this. Chief Stipe
@Thomass you are posting rubbish and are crossing the BOAY line again. Your inference fails all tests. Opie road trackwork yesterday for Te Akau. He has high weight rides at Trentham this Saturday 7 December 2024 for: Stephen March - 61.5kg, Bill Thurlow - 58.5kg and 60kg and wait for it.......... Te Akau riding at 60.5kg. So @Thomass essentially you are full of crap!

Yes and if you had the choice and if Opie could get the weight you have him riding your horse. You'd be a fool not to have the best strike rate Jockey in NZ on your horse.

Judged on history I do not see much in the way of evidence of NZ Rugby taking action given the history of the said winger and for that matter many others. Rugby has a history of giving character references for players so that they are not convicted.
