hesi
The Chief is off to Ruakaka races tomorrow, anyone got any winners, tips or value runners to help him out with the bank balance. Just PM him if you don't want it made public

Just PM him if you don't want it made public To be fair Hesi I'm the sober driver - 5 of us going and 2 are total newbies when it comes to going to the races. Personally I don't punt but as with any time someone perceives that you know something about the game I will be pestered for tips! Of course I don't have the contacts of an ex jockey or the foolproof blueprints of Thomaas and I'm still learning the Mardigras approach so any help will be appreciated. At the very least I can use the Winston method and will be able to deflect the blame if any tips lose!

FeelTheFear
If the Chief's party is getting desperate late in the day. Worth a dollar for the place. Race 6 #3 Hvar. Trials 2nd after 10 month spell and slashing run last start at Avondale. Place chance. Race 7 #11 O'Princess.Good run 2nd up after a short spell, 1.9L 7th. Previous 2 runs were after a year lay off. Has ability and could sneak a place.
Turny
Anything that can jump and lead - ignore form, previous racing - if they lead they win

Maybe just growing pains but surely must do something soon. Possibly looked in need of one run at Avondale so lets hope overcomes the draw. Pris de Fer is a good sized horse just a bit sweated up at Avondale so should improve. Race 3. Mikes Mistake looked ok before the race at Avondale and held up early in the run home. Paying $15.00 thats good value.
barryb
O’Sam in the 4th leads and looks superb chance at odds. Hatton Garden is the best horse in the last, great overs, qualifies as a BP with blinkers going on. Good luck Chief.

barryb
O'Sam $5.70 1 & 6 as the main dangers. Hatton Garden $3.50 I wasn't sure about the 2 in the race, did win strongly but in the wet at Rotorua and vastly different here. 3 & 4 rough hopes. mardigras
Maybe a couple to Q up with barryb's. Although I don't know what odds are set for these. So may not be any value. R4 #1 Piazzetta (priced at $5). R7 #5 Alesund (priced at $4.70).

curious
I think I'd be making a fortune laying the BP selections but it's very complicated figuring out which they are. Moving target.

It was only a midweek maiden at Ruakaka but Lumberjack showed an outstanding turn of foot and looked a likely Derby type.
