Hey Tommosino..

Its clear that your weak kneed pals currently forming the coalition of losers are intent on de-criminalising cannabis...and you can bet methamphetamine would be the next 'drug of choice' to become non-criminal too, they're already handing out thousands of $$$ to 'tenants' allegedly penalised ( even tho they were probably manufacturing the stuff in the landlords houses)

So, how would it work re the Racing Industry tommo? Don't try and tell me that taxi would have different laws!''...can you be a little bit stoned, so as to safely ride/drive horses? And drive horse floats ( and milk tankers, stock trucks etc etc..and boats....get the drift?) What about the Stewards..can they be a bit stoned? ( some may say they already are)..maybe only smoke it on trackwork or trials days eh..not racedays...love to hear how it would LEGALLY work..oh, and yes half the country is probably already brain damaged by cannabis but doesn't make it any safer for the rest of us.

Wtf is this rubbish kop?

I thought you were generally well informed about 'life' thangs...obviously you have 'boganish' issues though

The 'war' on drugs simply hasn't worked....we need a paradigm shift in thinnking...that's accepted

Suffice to say all of the current restrictions on drug use will remain...

..there certainly won't be any tools allowed to use tools with human life at risk...

...and neither will Jocks be riding high...so I don't know your point?

Thats the type of simplistic answer I expected Tommo...you havent thought it through..

Heres one for you to ponder: the road toll is horrific for a country NZ's size. Driving habits are deplorable. Taxis answer is to spend a billion plus on roads...the roads aint the problem. Ask any truckie. So now your'e quite happy for 'social use' of cannabis, hows that gonna stop the road toll? Will the rozzer strength be tripled so they can test every driver?...likewise the r.i.u....already a bloated ourfit, they'll need another 30 staff at least just to test every jockey/driver/stablehand every raceday/trials day/trackwork....

And yes, being from Dunders, how can I not be a bogan? and proud of it?

& produced countless more braindead f--kwits.

Incredible how we are intent on making NZ smokefree by 2025, looks like it only applies to mega sized tobacco outfits rather than the local dope supplier.

Hey Bogan, beer-swilling Bazza, don't rubbish NZ.      " WE"   are tops in the world per capita for youth suicide and domestic violence, with 525,000 cases of " give her the bash " last year. • On average, police attend a family violence incident every five and a half minutes - that's 279 calls each day.       Would any of them be alcohol related ????????????????????????

Absolute dribble -there are so many countries that do not allow suicide to be registered as a cause of death . To suggest 'We' are tops is plain stupid.

We need to know more about what’s behind NZ's dire youth-suicide rate

About a year ago, the Government invited consultation on the draft suicide-prevention strategy, to replace the one that passed its best-before date in 2016. The preamble notes that this is important, because our youth rates are the highest in the OECD, and the burden falls heavily on Māori and Pasifika peoples.

Drugs and booze would be major issue here. These kids brains are not fully developed, yet here they are sniffin stuff, smoken stuff and drinking stuff. I was into my 20s before i started drinking, never did drugs. Parents these days dont give a shit, let their kids do this stuff, because they do it? Its dodgy people having heaps more dodgy kids that the tax payer pays for.

They should offer every woman $5k to have tubes tied. Would save the country heaps in the future.

The argument that 'we' already have a huge issue with alcohol is undeniable. However how does that resonate with 'legalising' another brain tissue damaging 'drug'?  Young people will already be thinking that cannabis must be harmless because this cocked-up govt we have is clearly wishing to legalise it. The greens should be hanging their heads in shame. So should peters=young Maori ARE the worst affected by alcohol and drugs. For some reason-and this is not being racist-Maori and Pacific Islanders just cannot resist booze and drugs. Who knows why..but its also undeniable. peters tries to play the old..'but we aren't in a coalition with the greens'...but listen winnie, if it wasn't for YOU the greens would not be a part of any govt and therefore would not be able to blackmail ardern into this so called referundum. Legalising/decriminalising cannabis is step 1..and NZ will rue the day it went along this path. Hopefully by the next election enough people will have seen through arderns lies and smiles and get rid of her!!...and welcome a real woman..Judith Collins as PM?

Don't change anything. NZ still wants to be World Champions in Domestic Violence and Youths topping themselves. Gold medals and Group One glory is everything !

Tell me this then  DWharf........in this proposed referendum on decriminalising mind altering drugs, why hasn't this govt also indicated that they will ask these questions, and the resulting answers be 'binding'..

1.   Do you support the total ban on the sale of tobacco products in NZ ?

2.  Do you support the total ban on any alcohol products in NZ and the production of any alcohol products in NZ ?

This would solve most of the issues re domestic violence, suicide, road crashes etc that you refer to... do you think they will do this ?

Cannabis is not a drug. Great idea to ban alcohol. Let the pissheads experience prohibition for a change.

Settle kop...take a toke

There will be a massive debate...all of the facts will be presented...

....and we'll all make a reasoned decision as to how the Country should handle this...

Racing stakeholders won't be rushing out to get shit faced any more than they are now...

Sure, the RIU's testing protocols were shown up to be f in hopeless when Ruakaka track workers had never been tested before...

...and some were off their cotton pickin' minds...but that's the RIU for you

My advice for you is to get some driving lessons, defensive driving will help with your lack of peripheral vision...maybe take a train instead?

oh my bad...the Knats got rid of those...

Anyway...STAY LEFT and KEEP OUT OF MY F IN FAST LANE ffs

best

Mis Use of Drugs Act 1975

Class C Drugs=   Cannabis leaf, cannabis seeds.

Cops may not be enforcing this as they once were but its still an illegal drug.
