I'm not sure...mayyyybe...but instead of close ups later in the day they've gone off to other venues

Still putting in the massive effort to instill pain though...from yesterday...note the welt  after the strike bounces off

I've warned you before @Thomass about posting these types of photos taken off you TV screen.  They are far from accurate let alone the fact you don't give an accurate reference.  Another selected photo like that and you will be back on moderation.

What do you mean they are far from accurate?

It is impossible to take a screen shot of a frame of video on TV with any accuracy.

@Thomass manipulates those photos.

About time he got off his one trick pony.

OK. So how is that one manipulated? To me it shows what it shows, including a whip mark across the horse's flank?

I also see a way above shoulder height strike.

Again that's your perception of a one video frame.

I've been caught out with this type of image posting before with @Yankiwi and at the end of the day it doesnt achieve anything except feed the anti-racing woke mob.

Bigger issues to address.

I disagree.

I don't subscribe to the no-whip ethic but riding within limits is perfectly possible.  I defy anyone to convince me that Ryan Moore, William Buick, Oisin Murphy et al are soft on their mounts,  or that harder or more punishing rides would achieve more. Their upper body strength and driving finishes put most of our hoops to shame.

Sure there are but that doesn't dismiss this one. 70% of the public don't agree with you. And if there is any mob involved, it's those that won't bring our whip rules into line with global standards and won't ensure that they are enforced with effective penalties. Head in the sand stuff which can only continue to lead thoroughbred racing down the same path as greyhound racing.

You'll probably dismiss that too as not robust enough, but if so, put up some evidence to the contrary. 30% won't win an election if it comes down to letting the polis decide.

34% will win an election   But seriously if 10% of the population like horse racing isn't that the same as those that like F1 motor racing?  They other 90% can pat their pets.

You know this is what I don't understand about you lot that supposedly support racing.  You focus on the minuscule parts and think that absolves you from all your other perceived sins in racing?

Take up tiddlywinks!

I can assure you that this is not modified. It is straight from the race video and consistent with what @Thomassposted.Whatever you may think about whether the rules here should be brought into line with global standards or not, this is a very bad look and the stewards have ignored it even though it was repeated several times in this instance. Great they brought in the flank strike rule but there's little point having rules without consistent application and penalties that are severe enough to minimise the incidence of breaches like this.

I don't think it is great they bought in the flank strike rule as it is difficult to determine and enforce.

Easy for you and @Thomass to sit in your armchair during sleepless nights as you worry about whip strikes and count them instead of sheep.

"Eureka I found one and I'm going to post it online"....

But then @curious didn't FIND it @Thomass found it.  No doubt he has forwarded it to the animal rights lobby just like @Yankiwi did.
