He must have been the first then brodster?

Yes he would’ve been one of the first, if not the first!

He ran in at least one NZ Cup when the fields were even and decent!

Won at Westport, Reefton and then Greymouth.

They closed Greymouth and then you had to win at Westport both days and then Reefton I beleive, then they canned the bonus for some reason!

Yes our mana 2nz cup seconds and one Auckland cup 2nd, I remember when he and Derby were coming through and Derby beat him in the flying stakes, I think Derby had won 8 from 8 I thought Derby would kick on and become a super star, but our mana turned out much better.

Not sure if it was still going when wilmas mate won it, it would have been the revised bonus, think Westport the first ever club in the world to record a triple dead heat, club received a thousand pounds in those days, brodie will know all about it, may have been there.

Not to sure may have been 50s or there abouts, got an old race book somewhere with the picture of it on the front cover, one of the horses was called whimpy and the other knight owl, can't remember the third one, as a avid collector of old race books, I find them so interesting to look back on, did throw some of the 80s and 90s out when I was shifting, oh boy have I really regretted that, just looking at one now amberley gallops, may 1954, a great year,

I must be older than I thought and have Alzheimer’s, as I can not remember it Shad!

Maybe I am not that old, but then again if I can’t remember?

Forgot to remember, funny name for a horse, I do remember some years ago a lady told me I had the biggest appendage she had ever seen, I said, ya pulling my leg.
