They deserve a life but without racing they would have never experienced one. Greenies will give it traction and with Greyhounds getting banned they will use that to support it.

The sad thing is that as with GRNZ, NZTR and the RIB don't recognise the threat, let alone show an inclination to do anything about it. anything about it.

Yes the petition is doing really well at attracting 60 signatures.  Hardly a well worded or constructed petition.

@curious won't be signing it as he supports racing so I'm surprised he is commenting on it.

I certainly won't and I've already commented that it likely won't get much traction as you point out with the massive 60 signatures to date.

Good well you just go back to your single issue focus on NZ's Premier Anti-Racing Channel.

It looks like the bulk of racing people support that including the leadership. Just needs some action now.

LOL where did you do that poll?  If that was correct why do the "bulk of racing people includng leadership" keep putting the same Jockeys on their horses?  What will be your next single issue crusade?  You have the makings of another @Yankiwi .

BTW the NZTR annual report has a salary and personnel cost of $5.8 million.  Where did you get the extra $5m from?

What poll are you talking about that I did? If you are talking about the cafe whip use one, it probably mostly includes responses from industry folk doesn't it? Owners, trainers, punters and administrators? Maybe a few bots you think?

How does a horse push past it's ability??

better nutrition,  better Trainer, better jockey or driver , or sometimes a new race plan , tactic can see a horse reach new levels.  Nearly All of them require some urgency from the rider/driver at some stage (usually the later bit of a race when they 'drop the bit')  . If you want to win that is .

Seen a few knock off really quickly when they get to the front easily.

I wouldn't be surprised that you didn't mail it to him personally.

If you have evidence to the contrary, why not send him that and also post it here to educate the rest of us?

Well it is crap research to start with but I guess adherence to the scientific method has long gone.

I imagine you and the @Comic Dog will be struggling to find Jockeys to ride your horses considering you've bagged most of them.

Slow NZ horses at the gallops ?  Did one even run off today at Ruakaka ?

looked like it was heading for the Grandstand when leading into the straight. was quite funny.

or best horse in Australia at the time,  Popular Alm after Vinny cut him 4 lengths clear at the quarter in the Interdominion Grand Final at Alexandra Park thinking he was gunna cruise in . Bad Luck Vinny .

No Mate . When LEAP TO FAME gets to the front , it's all over rover. chalk up another win. Don't even think the 2 miles of the NZ Cup is gunna trouble him . Swayzee could even do it. tough buggers.  Pacers and trotters much better in front than those rusty , half trying gallopers 😎😋🍻

I take from your comments that you now think that advocating for horse and human welfare in racing is anti-racing?
