Unlucky 6th, no room in the straight then line taken by Lazurra as she finally got space.  

Coming again at the line, so maybe she could have got 3rd, certainly not outclassed as has been suggested elswhere

and what about Lieca Lucy - huge run.  Certainly franked the NZ Oaks form that Auckland are trying to steal!

Yes, was held up but when clear couldnt run past the number 7. 
Did nothing in run, i am not convinced it will win a big race in Aus. 

Lucy was good, a bit etratic early in straight, closed well. Can see her winning a good race soon over more ground….

To be fair when she was held up by Lazurra (7) she lost a bit of momentum and was coming back at Lazurra close to the line.

Golden Eagle next on Nov 1, if she makes the field

Yep, just my view on its run. Everyone has different views, but i think connections should be looking for an easier kill…. rather than even think about the Golden Eagle 🦅

Especially with Autumn Glow in the field, possibly Aeliana.  Rarified air we are getting into

No quater given in those big races over there, I always maintained they gifted her the big win in Auckland, they left the rail wide open for her that day, won't be seeing any of that in those prestigious races, she'll need every ounce of luck and more.

Good points.

Yet Leica Lucy drew widest, came around the field widest and ran on well for 3rd, over a distance you would have to say is not ideal.

Severely held up and for a horse that winds up and into its final run any loss of momentum limited her chances.  That style though given clear air is often a winning one in OZ.  Evaporate was the run of the race.  His run stamps Damask Rose's win in the Kiwi B.  Still she picks up $20k for that run.

I thought her run was disappointing given the clear run she had.  Hung in badly all the way up the straight.  On that run I won't be backing her and I wouldn't be surprised if she is feeling something.

Hung in badly.  Won two Grp 3's over 1600m in NZ in time better than she ran in the Toorak.

It was a very good run from last , not easy making ground at Caulfield. 

Any give in the ground will assist her greatly.

Certainly looked to be feeling the ground.

DR run looked to have no luck , but not exactly flashing home at the end of the race when things opened up for her,  so hard what to make of it.

The ground will only get better going further into the Spring.  Looks like Adelaide or Brisbane in the Autumn for her.

She keep running into walls and had to run sideways to get a run and then the gap was when the race was over.  You lose a lot of momentum stop and starting and going sideways.  As you know when you have to move sideways in the Lazy Boy to reach your beer or when the Matron stands in front of the TV with 200m to go.

There appeared to be an opportunity to take a gap in the straight, perhaps she wasn't travelling that well?

FFS - do any armchair critics bother to view the Stewards Vision for these races BEFORE critiquing them?  The "gap" didn't occur until the race was nearly over!  As I said earlier she winds into her top speed.

I still think she can pick up a Group race over there.
