ut yes our Grp 1's are struggling to hold status especially WFA and Open Class.

Part of my theory

the modern foal crop is (?????) more than 50% down,  from say early 90's,  when 'we' were producing better G1 Fields?

I presume that as that foal crop #'s decline the % of overseas sales has increased! both of young and tried horses?

Yes they are. <-- betting #'$

I'll post them when I get them. Great betting day, that's why Entain love them. Cost the industry a fortune though.

sigh,  how hard to you reckon it is to be able to do any serious due diligence with any part of the Racing Industry? lol, beyond the likes of me in the cheap seats...

ps.I wonder how many were scared off by all the prior rain? :)

The horse is a freak , sit back and enjoy her while she is around.

She walked the last 100m & still set the place alight.

To class her as a "freak" you must rate the horses she is beating.

Why not, the deal is she is trained by Stephen Marsh.  I presume that means she stays and gets trained in NZ, unless he is going to set up a stable in Aus.  The 500K bonus makes the Proisir Plate and Howden Mile both equivalent to million dollar races, which is the same as those early G1's in Aus

There is only one bonus. So, it can't be won in both those races. I doubt whether she has her first races here or in Oz next season will make a lot of difference to them that would be influenced by the stake money.

After the KiwiB she will be heading to OZ.

Allowing for the fact that 3yos are still improving at this stage, do you think anything in that field would have challenged Tuxedo and Hinekaha?

I know it's a struggle for you to rate anything not racing in Tangerine, but you've waxed lyrical over the 2nd & 3rd horses in last night's race (one of them a G1 winner) with all the enthusiasm of 100 Tangerine fan boys ... she put them to the sword in the blink of an eye.

An exceptional performance last night to be enjoyed by all and sundry.

If the deal for 50% sale is indeed that Marsh trains her, then he will have to set up in Aus

Geez they are early 2yr olds.  There hasn't been many Grp races this season yet.

Just checking you were up to the mark CS

You missed my point.  Until now you haven't rated any of the rest now you are rating Well Written a "freak".

Is that online chit chat or confirmed?  Regardless you don't need to "set up" in OZ to campaign a horse there.

Anyway, back on topic.

It seems the attitude in the industry is, it is okay to sell off as much silverware as you want, then when we have crap fields here compared with Aus, it is okay to sit around and blame everybody but the people in the industry themselves.

Sounds like a big gravy train to me

And Entain who have come in and underwritten the industry for 5 years, who have funded so many initiatives are the bad guys

Why would he have to set up in Oz to race one horse there?

I think it is only a small group of very loud disenfranchised who have always struggled in the industry.  None of whom seem able to act collectively to focus on the key issues - tracks, programming and handicapping.
