Murray Fish Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago A interesting day was had! The challenging weather in the lead up was not as bad as suggested! On the day the weather improved into a hot Taieri Plans day! The course was very much divided by 'class', reflected in the different 'strap tie' that one was required to have on! One security lady got rather perplexed that Correct I do NOT have any Id on me! A wad of cash! Yes. sigh, rather obvious that I be over 20 now!!! One thing I always do, if I am ever any 'event' where there is a lot of Security present! I like to track down the 'top dog', usually chatting to them as the day goes along! There were a few "important peoples that normally don't have to present badges being asked Ever Time! Was amusing to watch happening later in the day, the Champaign had been flowing well all day! It will be interest to see how the betting stacks up? As I thought, many races were hard to be betting into!! A couple of 'Southland friends' where rather excited by the dividends for their Winners! Personally, two bets were had! Both did the decent thing! One bet ticket was was given to Mrs, payment for the 560 photos she took! I took 1056. My fitness watch said I walked 8.3 ks.. and burnt enough energy to have run two marathons!! another reason for me leaving racing... Quote
