SLB2.0
Twice within 7 days she has fallen off Laekeeper and it hasn't been in the action of going over a jump. What's going on there?

What's going on there? That was a bit unusual today. Seemed to just lose her balance. What a top ride from buddy lammas to win today.. He has the confidence in his own ability to rate a horse and certainly his tactics were a major factor in the win. The difference in the end was the 2nd horse wanted to race handier but that's not where its jockey wanted it,so they fought each other to the point where you had to wonder if that energy wasted would be costly, and so it proved. . I thought the most bizzare thing was on Saturday when napoleon was retired from the race when it was obvious it was going to run fourth, and then actually would have ended up third due to a fall at the last fence. It seemed like the punters were robbed there as it was jumping fine..
All The Aces
Well this is what the Shark said about the first day run: RACE 8 1 Laekeeper ($4.00) Runner up to the smart Jackfrost in the 2018 running of the Grand National Hurdles. Ignore his last start in the Sydenham - the jockey got knocked off when beginning his challenge. He'll relish every metre of this. Perhaps he meant "knocked up" and that is why she overbalanced today. ?
SLB2.0
I've looked again and she does become unbalanced after jumping a hurdle the size of my foot. You'd expect better from a professional. Connections and punters do their dough. A hooker that can't throw the ball in straight from the line out would be heavily criticised and jockeys should be no different. Thomass
I've counted @ 8 times she's eaten mud this jumps season... Yesterdays was definitely a shocker..a slight inward movement from the horse or slip and she gets Shang highed... ..appears to be riding a couple of clicks too high.. ..remembering woman have far bigger thighs and shorter pins...and perhaps her point of balance needs correcting with NGH mentoring her on the fake horse?? Remind me again how many times NDH rode over fences, you space cadet? I will answer this as you have no idea,,,ZERO
SLB2.0
That's not relevant when it comes to teaching someone balance.

Me and mine have been doing cross fit sets all night at a secret West Coast Beach...talk about march...exhausted az WRT Farr...jocks can never be too complacent when it comes to retaining the perfect seat...especially Jumps Jocks... ...Handbreak has an exemplary pedigree in the Jumps sphere...his Dad, Bro and son have all been Jumps Jocks... The Hazza would be the person to turn to re-check if the 'seat' is all tickety boo being the riding master with access to the fake horse Emms has to ask herself..."why am I topping the table for falls this year" BTW...always use the space button after a comma and double click after a full stop...it makes reading smack talk easier...best

FYI Em parted company from Laekeeper on the flat both days. Perhaps putting her irons down a notch could help.
Thomass
Haha...I think Muz may have been a bit pissed actually ATA...could even be Morty come to think about it...he can't use the space button either.. But look at Golf...these boys and girls are constantly checking on their technique with expert coaches... It seems if you want to become a Jumps Jock here...you turn up to Brownes Hill pre season...then get a quick lesson on how your form should Look when Jumping..and talley ho ho ...probably had the Jumping lesson when at Pony Club...but any further tuition?? Guest CrossCodes
I see Laekeeper won easily today with a change of jockey, and Emily again had another fall on Mr Enthusiastic in the steeple, no doubt she is a good rider but seems she falls off as soon as a horse just raps a fence. Freda
A year or so back Emily had a bad fall, from one of the Browne horses if I remember correctly - I think her parents had even come out to watch - and she took a long time to recover. Head injuries are hard to recover fully from, many people suffer headaches, memory loss and some motor skills deficiencies in certain cases. A few of us have wondered if maybe her balance has been affected? I know she is annoyed with herself for falling off, so she is clearly aware she has a problem.
Tragedy Beat
Might be karma for the way she treats some of her fellow female jockeys off the track.
